I am not sure why but most of us do afraid of the name of the police, I think the police have created a bad image in society (this is true in all the areas). Not things are changing slowly police are more friendly than earlier. But still not the police are friendly to the citizens sometimes it is ok too, they are in the profession where they have to be strict but why so serious all the time 🙃. Now mostly the new police are young and are more friendly as compared to the older police. I didn't have that many encounters with the police but there was one that I did forget yet.
It was the year when the corona was at its peak. mostly all the world was in lockdown. Only the daily need shops were opened in my area and of course the medical shops too. All the shops were closed officially but unofficially everything was opened. If you need any thing then the chances are you will get that you just need to look at the right place.

I was kind of new at my office, but I was able to do the work that was assigned to me. Most of our staff was out of the city so it was really hard for them to travel from one city to another city for work. At that time we do have a staff of only 8 to 10 people if I do remember that correctly. 3 to 4 people are from the city where we used to work so my boss ordered me and a few others to work at his home when the covid started.
We were only three who were working at that time, but my is giving salary to all. My boss increase our salary and he told us don't tell to anybody (now it's been years).
The rules were so strict in those days if you do have to finish your work then you should find your work by 1 PM after that the police will start asking questions to who was there in the market. The distance from my house to my boss's house was around 1.5 KMs, I used to go daily at 9 AM and used to return by 6 PM. This was contentious for more than a week, The covid was spreading all over the world so the work was less as compared to the rest of the days. that is the reason only 3 of us were able to manage the work of 8 to 10 people.
I used to back from work at 6 PM but due to less work, I went home at 2 PM that day. I was going like usual days, to my home but I did notice that all the roads and streets were empty literally empty there was no one there at all. I did notice a few policeman who was on the bike luckily they didn't note me at that time. I was about to reach my home, a group of policemen was stilling in the middle of the market. I was walking one of the policemen called me hello where are you going come here, I was like what. Then I did realize that I was not supposed to be here at this time in the market.
As I reached close to the policeman I did get a bit afraid, The policeman was an SI rank with some constables and a reporter with them. He started asking me questions like where are you coming from, what are you doing here, do you have a pass/permit? I was a bit nervous and replied to him, I am back from my work, I was about to answer the next question. Someone stopped me in the middle and when I looked towards him he was the reporter's uncle he used to live beside my house. I was lucky he helped me there and he turned the serious situation into a funny one. Now all of a sudden everyone was laughing except me (I was confused). In the end, things did go well the policeman left me with a warning. This did turn out well for me, I call my boss about this incident and asked him to take the system to my home and guess what he agreed to that. So, this was my first and last encounter with the police this far.

Police ka naam badnam hai. Kaam hi aise karte hai koi koi. xD
He hee sahe kaha sir ji, aab dhere dhere improve hora hai 😬
I enjoyed reading your post, your boss told you not to tell anyone about your salary, lekin mujhe pata chal gya bhaiya 😂, By the way you have said very good thing in your post. We should not be afraid of the police, the police are there to serve the public but it's quite the opposite😂, If I put my opinion, I do not like the police at all, the only reason is the way they speak to people I have seen such policemen who also abuse the public..... mere samne ki baat hai ek senior citizen the unko gaali deke scooty rukvaayi, aur inki language -- O ladke gaadi rok, O budhhe scooty rok....It's a way to talk to someone, even when you're on a high post....samne wala aapko Sir bol rha respect de rha jabki o aapse age me bada hai.......yhi resion hai ki mujhe police man nhi pasand, aur iske alawa ek personal resion bhi hai😛
Ha haa sahe kaha bhai thanks for stopping by. Bas esa he hai bhai police walo ka bhe. Dhere dhere badlaw Ara hai dekho kab Tak aata hai badlaw 😬
Han bhaiya, Bas Hope hi to bachhi hai ab

Police is the worst profession in my opinion although it should be the most noble profession. I think those people have intention of corruption want to be a police. Very few police are good but on average are bad. They don't hesitate to harass general people for their benefit.
You were lucky that day.
Totally agree with you and you are right about that. It is sad but this is the reality. 🙂
