Paternity leave is a topic of continuous concern when it comes to parenting but I think it won't really work well as it looks weird somehow and unnatural for men to be doing all those mother's role during delivery. Culturally it may not be generally acceptable too. For men to assist thier wives during that postpartum stage should be encouraged but not on paternity leave. Men are to work and bring money while women are naturally endowed to have a leave during birth to take care of themselves and the newborn baby.

Even if it's not to be called paternity leave.. there's a need that the father spend some time with the newborn and the wife especially when they have no family members around to help out
