The Womb is a Journey

When I think about surrogacy, I realize that it is not just a medical name, it is a mixture of people's dreams, fears, feelings and responsibilities, and just as a childless couple has accumulated hopes for years, so too is the nine-month journey that flows through the body of a surrogate mother.

On the one hand, the surrogate mother carries the child, on the other hand, the intended parents are the genetic guardians of the child. The balance of these two sides makes surrogacy so complicated. Many countries have made it very clear that the intended parents will be the legal guardians of the child because the newborn, who is not at fault, is the most affected when there is a conflict over rights.

Still, it is not right to keep the surrogate completely out. The risks to her body, mental stress, and changes in lifestyle all deserve respect. Therefore, it is important to ensure a safe and humane environment for her, but parental rights? That can complicate the child's future. The main question of surrogacy is therefore very simple: that the child should have a safe and identity-free family after birth. Surrogacy is fair for all when there is a clear contract, strong laws, and respect for the surrogate mother.

Finally, I would like to say that the story of surrogacy is not just about rights, but it is a combination of three lives: the surrogate mother, the intended parents, and the little child around whom all dreams revolve.
