Damselflies: The Graceful Fliers

in Hive Learners4 years ago

Damselfly is an areal insect. It belongs to the suborder Zygoptera. This species commonly found near the water and sometime we can also find them in the bush. I found these damselflies near the ponds where they were a bit busy during the late afternoon which made me play hide and seek to take proper shots from the closest range.

Damselflies are generally smaller, more delicate, and fly weakly in comparison with dragonflies (suborder Anisoptera). Their colours can be stunningly vivid.source
