Hi Hiver all, how are you all, I hope you are always in good health and well. March 26, 1873 the Dutch declared war on Aceh, which at that time Aceh was under the umbrella of the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam. The Dutch were desperately fighting and wanted to take control of Aceh, but this intention failed because the Acehnese were not easily defeated. One of them was the guerrilla tactical war played by the Acehnese, making the Dutch defeated at that time. In addition, what the Dutch couldn't understand was that the Acehnese had openly killed the Dutch without fear of death.

This is inseparable from the belief that the Acehnese in fighting against infidels (who at that time the Dutch were considered infidels) will get a martyr's death in defending their land and religion. Martyrs will go to heaven. The journey already exists in the saga of the Sabi War, one of the stories that raised the Acehnese to defend their territory from the hands of the Dutch colonialists. It was also shown by the theater of the Penta Community at that time which told the story of the Sabi War. The saga of Sabi War itself was written by Teuku Chik Pante Kulu which tells about how to raise the spirit of jihad against the Dutch. Here are some photos of theater scenes that tell the story of the Acehnese against the Dutch at the Banda Aceh Cultural Park. Congratulations on commemorating 149 years of the Dutch war against Aceh.
