The fact that many birds stay to spend the winter in our region has long become familiar. Ducks from the Old Pond have never been inclined to travel? And why? They feel great here. Looking at them, we can conclude that they eat well. In addition, people take care of them, providing constant access to water. Even when most of the pond is covered with ice, there is some of the free water. This is provided by a special underwater pump.
It should also be added that these ducks are not afraid of people at all. That's what allowed me to take photos close enough.
