I traveled to Chefchaouen, the blue city, in Morocco in 2017. The beauty of the medina, the old city, was fantastic, every year the painting with blue pigments is redone. After two nights, I decided to leave, because the old city is too crowded and with a lot of tourism. before that I decided to go trekking on the mountain.
Some 35mm images I took during those days on the mountain.
I hope you enjoy the trip through the photos.

First I got the directions from Mohammed, my friend at the hostel. Then I started walking on the road in search of a ride that would take me to the next town Achor, where there is a waterfall, but at that time it is dry, at least that's what I was told. As I am Brazilian, I speak a little Spanish and English, but in the countryside it is increasingly difficult to find people who speak another language besides Arabic. It was from Achor that I started the 20km trek through the mountains.

The few peasants they met managed to communicate only through mimes and when they said they were Brazilian, they shouted the names of famous players who play in Spain, "Ronaldinho", "Robinho", "Romario", "Rivaldo". So I made friends and little by little I got to know some people. Until late afternoon they took me by truck to the top of the mountain where there was a soccer field and it was the meeting between two villages. the teams had an organized uniform.
