Fresh starts

For as long as I can remember, maybe for my whole life even, I have never enjoyed change, good or bad, change is just a very scary thing for me. With that being said though, New Years are my favourite! I love the fresh start it gives you, starting a new journal, using all the new goodies that you got for Christmas, when I was in school it was all the brand new stationery, the smell of new notepads... aaah it makes me excited just thinking about it!

Looking back over my life I have noticed though, that taking baby steps and doing tiny things that scare you and are out of your comfort zone really helps to conquer the freezing fear of change.

As of today we are two days into the fresh year of 2024 and I wanted to share some party photos that bring happiness and peace to my soul, and share a couple small resolutions that I hope to carry through this new year.

Firstly, I hope to become more adventurous and explore new photography styles and editing techniques, I often find myself finding what works and sticking to it, for out of my comfort zone I would like to shove myself.

Secondly, and I hope more people try this in 2024 as well, slow down a little bit, life is such a crazy rat race and us as humans put way too much pressure on ourselves to perform 100% all of the time and be at our absolute best even when we feel like poop so taking a break and enjoying the good things in life! I hope to be more present (as cliche as that sounds, lol)

I also hope to go on far more adventures this year (especially those scary solo ones) and to carry on sharing my favourite moments of life with the world.

I hope you all had a sweet Christmas period spending time with family and a fabulous New Years! ✨
Remember you have a whole year to fulfil those New Years resolutions, if you fall off the bike in January there is nothing stopping you from trying again in February... just keep your head up!

Remember to stop and smell the flowers as you go through 2024, take breaks, enjoy the small moments and give yourself the love you deserve!
