What wonderful photos. That statue is intriguing, I really like the style of it. Was surprised to read that there is nothing of it's history anywhere around it, I would expect there to be a sign of some kind or information board.
Lovely that there's a monument to the fallen heroes, we have some here too and even though they make me sad to visit, they also make me proud of my previous countrymen.
