RE: Fact: Coffee saves lives

A couple years ago I had given some serious thought to purchasing a coffee tricycle and stocking it full of coffee, hot chocolates, teas, iced teas and the such. The impetus for this was the Grade 8 school market; the Grade 8 class at school has an annual market that lasts about 3 hours in length. The last time I was there it was long, it was cold, and I wanted coffee. There was none to be found, and I thought that anyone who brought a portable coffee market would make a killing.

Unfortunately the city, county, and state make a point of regulating small business (or, in my case, a wannabe-tiny-business) into non existence. The city charges $150 per day for a portable food vendor to set up shop, in addition to business licenses, health licenses, etc etc.

Alas. I would have loved doing that on the weekends, and I happen to have children who would have loved could do that for with me.

It's a great idea, but alas, red tape often squashes such good ideas. I often wonder what it much have been like 122 years ago when one could have an idea and generally make it happen...These days so many factors get in the way.

That line ☝️😜
