I haven't posted in the Cinnamon Cup Coffee community before, despite being an avid coffee drinker. But, this Christmas is as good a time as any, since I got a Bialetti Moka pot as a gift. I have no ever had a stovetop coffee maker, bad was looking at one a few months back, but called off the purchase as unnecessary. It is still unnecessary, but a gift is a gift.
As it was a secret Santa deal, I heard after that the person who got me knew immediately what the gift would be. So that is nice. It is also in black, so it fits our decor.
Bonus.
The only "flaw" in the gift was the ground coffee, as it is a local blend. The problem I have with the locals, is that they are light roast. They tend to be too acidic for me, so I have learned to drink them with milk to balance.
I was surprised though, ad I don't know if it was this particular blend, or the way it was made in the Moka, but it wasn't as acidic as o was expecting.
Still needed milk.
But it was a good start.
I normally drink far too much coffee, so my plan is to get some decent blends, but rather than making pots like I normally do and then drinking iced coffee nice it cools, I will use the Moka instead. It puts an extra hurdle over having a cup, so I should drink less. Plus, it gives me more time to drink some water.
Oh, the other thing with this one is that it is for an induction stove, and it works well. Only a couple minutes from start to finish.
Though, cleanup is a bit more of a pain. Again, perhaps that puts another barrier in my coffee drinking to alter my habits.
And, this was a great fit for pyjama Christmas. Something new, something cool, something relaxing.

Oh what a pleasure to see you around! As it happens, I got a moka pot from Santa too :D I love yours, it's very classy and demure.
Agreed it's a good test to see if you really want that next cup of coffee. :) in my case, it's usually yes, I admit. It sounds like a very thoughtful Christmas present! Merry (belated a bit) Christmas to you and yours!
So demure! :D
That is awesome. I had a second cup, but there was a much longer break between than normal! :D
I bet it smells great! I am not a fan of coffee, but I like the smell.
My wife is the same. Likes the smell - never drinks.
Try to put directly the milk directly, not use water use milk, it could get you a cappuccino directly, the problem is the clean, the milk is hard to clean.
Great gift Christmas to you, enjoy it, I have one and it is the best form for enjoy an American coffee, the most extraccion is clean and the coffee taste very delicious.
I have one of this, and really really enjoy it.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I don't want to clean that mess! :D
Do you use yours often?
And Merry Christmas!
Around one time per week because it is from aluminum and in this case I I'm not sure if it is healthy drink aluminum.
Happy Christmas mate - hot here in southern Aussie as you know. A warm coffee is good anywhere x
And if it is too warm, just put the AC on ;D
Merry Christmas!
Can't survive without it!!!
Such a simple thing, but it brought you joy. I'm glad you're happy with the gift. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Yep. It doesn't take much to make me happy. I know you have a week and a half left, but have fun!
So beautiful! That is a good gift to get at Christmas though it sounds as if you might make it a decor that coffee pot😂

No one else might see it, but I will know. Like my underwear :D
I am not a coffee addicted as it might be harmful for kidneys, but I only drink the Turkish coffee from time to time :)
Is Turkish coffee dark roasted?

Welcome to the cinnamon community & Merry Christmas
Welcome!
That's one sexy Moka pot. I'd love to hear its gurgling sound!
Lucky you, eh! A thoughtful Secret Santa.
I'm not fond of light roast coffees either, and the one I'm drinking is (also a local blend)... but I never keep milk in stock... That's a tip that I'll keep in mind though.
Happy Holidays and it's great to see you here:)))
PS. Your photos are so gorgeous... I'm purring over them.
I've never been a big coffee drinker. I drink it a few times a month. I can't say the same thing about tea. I've never gone a day without it.
I like this gift 🎁 Merry Christmas 🎄
This year Santa was very generous. My mother got yoga ball, mat, hoop. I got drawing tablet, drawing program and some HBD.
