I am a big fan of latte art. A creative latte art is one of the factors that makes my coffee experience at a shop more enjoyable. I myself am not particularly good at it, I know. But I still am better than any of my friends and I do brag about my shitty latte art when friends come over. I mean, a shitty latte art is better than no latte art at all. Right?
Well, I thought so. At least until one fine winter morning!
I was humming the tune of "Smoke on the water" by deep purple as my espresso shot sat in the cup, with smoke swirling above it, waiting to be "Latte Arted," (Yes, i just invented the word, I think)!
As I poured the steamed milk and created some sort of shape, I heard a loud sarcastic Snort!
Huh? You call that a latter art?! Followed by more annoying snorts!
My rude coffee machine was at it again! *facepalm
What's you problem dude? I snapped back at it!
Oh no, nothing sir! It's just that, that "thing" you call art is quite larger than...you know! And it snorted louder than ever!
This coffee machine has been driving me nuts over the last few days with its rude, sarcastic snarls every now and then! I can stomach most of it, given how I myself am a sarcastic snob to my friends a lot of the time. But taking digs at my latte art is punching me below the waist, in this case, quite literally!
I got a bit grumpy and started sipping at my coffee. Boy I'd have thrown out that stupid machine long time ago had it not been for this insanely smooth espresso and steamer it had!
Seeing me grumpy, the machine decided to have more fun!
C'mon now princess! Don't be a grump! What are you getting mad at me for! I mean, have you looked at your latte arts! You have failed latte art harder than Pam has at art school!
That last "The Office" joke Pam's failed art career cracked me up! I was starting to see why I really could not throw the machine out! It was me, inside that machine! I would have made that exact same joke!
"Hey sport, here's an idea! Why don't you create an album - full of pictures of your failed latte arts!" And it cracked into notoriously loud laughter!
And while it struggled to hold its laughter in, it gave me one final snort of encouragement before I headed out to work -
"At least there won't be any shortages of those pictures for your album eh!" The snorting kept getting louder as I locked the door on my way out!
