Good Morning Hivers!

Well I am not usually a breakfast type person. I am a usually black coffee and go guy and I tend to try and intermittently fast on a 16/8 pattern.

However!

@millycf1976 spent yesterday baking muffins using blackberries we had picked right from the bushes next to the canal as you can see in her Come On Over post from yesterday.

So this morning I awoke to the smell of muffins and coffee in our little narrowboat 'Badger' and as she is a small boat the smell was intense.

"Want some Muffin?" she asked 😄

OF COURSE I DO 😛

There were 2 suspiciously empty spaces in the baking tin that I assume were scoffed down by @millycf1976 right out of the oven but still plenty left for not only this morning but I think the next 2 mornings to come.

And to accompany the muffins there was a selection of babanas, plums, oranges, a left over custard donut from yesterday and of course

Freshly Brewed Black Gold!

The weather was looking extremely nice this morning also so I thought I'd relax outside on the sterndeck of Badger and consume this veritable breakfast feast in the glorious morning Summer sunshine. Well why not? What's the point in living on a boat if you can't make the most of the surroundings. This is one of the primary benefits of living on a boat, to be able to change your setting as you wish.

If only these photos could give off the aroma of warm muffins and coffee. Oh my days was i looking forward to this morning breakfast treat. And to think we picked the berries ourselves from the canal side no more than a few meters from the boat. Amazing really.

So this was my chosen spot to consume the spread laid out before me. Now it's not always like this as this is England and it is renowned for dull, grey, wet, monotonously miserable weather.

BUT

when it's nice, it's incredible! I can honestly say there's nothing that beats the UK when the weather is good. it's just so rare that we get any consistently good weather to enjoy. So enjoy this I will.

So I shall sit here, slowly eating my breakfast spread and saying a goodmorning or two to the passing boaters and dog walkers that pass me on either side and let my mind meander and relax. It's going to be quite difficult to drag myself into any kind of productive behaviour after this. Unless of course I drink more coffee! As consuming more black rocket fuel may just get my momentum going as there is quite a lot i could be doing really.........but it is such a nice morning i think i will just chill, relax...chillax for a little while longer and soak up the whole vibe of being on the canal, in the sun with an amazing breakfast.
