It is only since the 2000s that good coffee has been commonly available in the US; I remember one of my best friends in the 90s was the first to start drinking coffee when we were teenagers and the coffee was still mostly bad. I could tell how good or bad it was based on how much sugar and creamer she put in it. 😂 One time she put in 4 packets of sugar and I was like, "Wow, if it's that bad, why are you drinking it??" LOL

You're lucky to live in this era when coffee is ubiquitous, though I know you have to pay a lot for good coffee.
