Squid Game inspired coffee part 3! | Sae Byeok

Hi Hivers!

Another day, another SG coffee huhu. Hoped y'all have been enjoying these posts! Today we're gonna make a coffee for Sae Byeok.

Sae Byeok is an intenseeee character (I don't think she smiled once throughout the show tbh) and she deserves an intense coffee. So we're gonna make a version of a Red Eye.

A Red Eye is a coffee you drink typically for long distance travel, and it's just like Sae Byeok coz she had to escape from North to South Korea hoping for a better life for her and her brother. The drink starts by preparing a drip coffee (I used a V60 but any kind is fine), roughly 12g of coffee to 150g of hot but not boiling water.

Despite Sae Byeok's intensity, she has a soft heart. The way she wanted to protect her brother, and how devastated she was when her friend gave up her lift, I felt that hazelnut would be a perfect fit. A spoonful of hazelnut powder would work great.

Next, we will prepare one shot of espresso, and pour that into our hazelnut drip coffee.

And to top it off, one Kinder Bueno to amplify the hazelnut a little more.

And there you go! A Hazelnut Red Eye with Kinder Bueno for Sae Byeok. You can check out the entire process here

Hope y'all liked this! Take care and stay safe Hivers :)

I don't think that the character of drama can inspired you to make a coffee. Great!

Hello @oneyonef, I am truly fascinated and admire the way you've woven your creativity to match characters of what seems to be your favourite drama, with specific coffee. Nice job!
