Squid Game Inspired Coffee Part 2! | Sang Woo

Hoped y'all liked the first SG-inspired coffee creation for Gi Hun the other day. You can check that one out again here!

Today we're gonna do Sang Woo :)

For this man, we're gonna be making an Iced Dirty Matcha Latte. It's called that because it not only has matcha as the base, but also coffee added to it (and I chose this drink start coz - spoiler alert - Sang Woo did Ali dirty during that marble game)

So we start by making one shot of espresso first so that it cools down by the time we add it to the latte

(mmm that crema always gets me)

We then make our matcha base. I would usually use 1 teaspoon of matcha, with hot but not boiling water, and 2 teaspoons of sugar to balance the earthy flavor

We then need to whisk it until it gets frothy, and we're good to assemble. Another reason why I chose this drink for Sang Woo is that it is a very calculated drink. You need 1/3 portions of matcha, milk and coffee, and it will create these nice layers (kinda like Sang Woo, a very layered and calculative character)

To make the layers, we start by pouring our matcha into a glass of ice like this.

And then we add 1/3 of full cream milk, and top it off with the espresso earlier.

This drink can be quite an acquired taste, and may not appeal to some because of the earthy matcha flavor. Just like Sang Woo, he appealed to some viewers coz he was seen as the most logical out of everyone. To others though, he seemed like the bad guy. But hey, just like coffee, you can like whatever you like.

Here is the end result! A Dirty Matcha Latte for Sang Woo.
