Squid Game Inspired coffee creation | Gi-Hun

Hi Hivers!

Not sure whether you guys have watched Squid Game before, but I did and I'm definitely jumping on the Squid Game hype train. So, I'm gonna try make different coffees to represent the different characters in the show.

First up, we have Gi-Hun!

Gi-Hun had to go through a lotttt throughout the games, losing his friends, his mother, and even finding out the old man that he really cared for was behind the entire thing. That amount of struggles definitely warrants 2 shots of espresso as the base of this coffee.

(mmm you can never get enough of looking at espresso being pulled)

But throughout the show, we also see this strong sense of justice and him always trying to be positive and do the right thing. He is also genuinely sweet too, so we're gonna add in a tablespoon (or more) of caramel to the espresso. I made it a salted caramel coz I'm still super salty that this man is willing to do practically everything but take care of his child. C'mon man.

Added milk afterwards to get a latte (no screencaps here coz it's was kinda blur) and to top it off, garnished with a strawberry to add a little acidity and to pay tribute to his red hair at the end.

And there we go! A Salted Caramel Doppio Latte with Strawberry. Here is what it looks like!
