"22 Phay 5" - A Lovely Coffee Shop In A Peaceful Corner Of The City

Hi guys! I'm Niiva, today I come back to introduce to you a lovely cafe that I discovered while walking around the alleys in the city. Today, I have an appointment to go to a friend's house in Lien Chieu district to return her books. Her house is in a small alley, I am not good at finding the way, so I had to ask for help from Google Maps. Following the directions on Google Maps for a while, I felt that I had lost my way, I began to get lost in a small alleys, there were many paths that made me very confused. Here there are a lot of people's houses, very few cafes or food shops, walking around for a while, I accidentally passed a small cafe at the corner of the street, I was attracted to it by its very poetic and vintage look. So, I decided to invite my friend to the coffee shop for a drink, and I returned the book to her. Since her house is near here, she came very quickly after that, when I told her that I got lost here, she didn't seem surprised because she was sure that I would get lost, she knows I'm not good at finding my way.

The shop is located at K33 H2/20 Nam Cao street, Hoa Khanh ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city. It takes more than 20 minutes by motorbike from my hostel. Because I accidentally lost my way, I found a cafe that suits my taste, I feel extremely excited. Here was an old house that was repaired and decorated in an ancient style by the owner. I parked the motorbike next to the shop and went to the order counter.

This is the shop's order counter, which is decorated with an old motorbike in front. As you see on the black board, on the evening of July 22, there will be a live music show here. The order counter is located in the corner of the shop, it is made of wood, decorated simply with strange lights, the Vietnamese flag.

There are many different types of drinks such as coffee, tea, yogurt, and some snacks. The price of drinks here is from 20,000VND - 35,000VND ~ $0.8 - $1.4, I find the price here suitable for students and working people like me, compared to other shops, it's a bit cheaper here. I ordered a cup of mint butterfly pea flower tea, it is decorated quite nicely, the taste is very fragrant, but I feel it is not suitable for me because I do not like the bitter taste of mint. My friend ordered a salted coffee, it looked ordinary but tasted really good.

After ordering, we found an outdoor place to sit, it was quite cool in the evening so I preferred to sit outside rather than indoors. There are many trees and flowers around, one thing I really like here is because I like to smell the flowers in the air here, and I enjoy my favorite old tunes. There are many wooden panels with letters written on them and hung on the fences and windows, looking very vintage. In addition, there is a large space for you to sit, drink coffee and chat together.

There are many rooms in the house, each decorated with different items, let's explore the rooms inside this cafe! The first room which is located near order counter is decorated with many eye-catching lights, fanciful lights make the space become poetic and classic. Besides, there are familiar items such as wind chimes hanging in the window, guitar hanging on the wall, interesting sayings written on big wooden bars and old items like: television, cassette, tea cups and bottles of wine. Small vases of dried flowers are also placed on the table to look very attractive.

A little further inside is another small room, here you can look out through the small window, it looks so chill on rainy days. Taking pictures here is not a bad idea for those who love taking photos to post on social networks like Facebook, Instagram, etc. Here, I am impressed by the quotes on the painted wooden panels, the meaning of it is very interesting, I think this is a good idea to attract young people to come and take pictures. One thing that surprised me was that I saw CDs hanging on the wall, it's been a long time since I've seen them. When I was a child, I often bought CDs to watch, until the internet appeared everywhere, I rarely watched movies and cartoons with CDs anymore, and they were not easy to find anymore.

Another small room is located at the back of the house, here is decorated with a lot of books, this is also my favorite space. Although it is smaller than the rest of the rooms, I really like the books here, there are many types of books I extremely love such as detective and self-help. They are neatly arranged on the shelves, you can take them out to read at the bar, it's so much fun.

After taking pictures and visiting the rooms, my friend and I sat and talked for a while and prepared to leave. When I was about to leave, I accidentally saw a very cute kitten lying in front of me, attracting me with its cuteness. I decided to take out my camera and take a few pictures of it as a souvenir.
