Is this a quiet oasis in an otherwise chaotic world?
It's awesome when you find these places, and I thought of chaotic Cairo when I read this.
I think taking pictures in public places is weird on its own in Jordan, let alone with a proper camera.
Cameras are like weapons. People get nervous when they see one. It's best to ask in places like those, and you never know what the rules are in the country. Better to play it safe.
I love the artwork and decor. So elegant, yet comfortable-looking.
We realized that a purple eye was a double espresso red eye, and a black eye was a triple.
Ah, ok! Fascinating!
Sofia was such a cosy and quiet place
I wonder what's the inspiration behind the name. It has a masculine vibe despite being so tastefully decorated... hmm, that sounds a bit sexist, but not intentional.
It's great to see that you're learning Arabic and immersing yourself in the culture.
Enjoy and Happy Holidays😍
PS.
There was even a pool table (or billiards if you're not a Yankee)!
The Brits differentiate between pool table, billiards, and snooker... at a glance, they all look like pool to me 🤣
Strangely, I thought about your trip to Cairo a few times while visiting Jordan... Mostly when drinking the water there, I was constantly worried I'd get the sort of virus you had!
And FOR SURE about the camera thing- I guess I got used to it not being much of a thing when in the states... Now I think twice before I bring it out
Hahaha I get where you're coming from on the decor 100%- sort of reminded me of a college dude vibe meets fun homemaker... The fake plants and table settings were lovely, yet there were loose cords on the walls and football pictures too 🤣
Oh dear, I thought those all ARE pool 😂😂😂 We can be confused together! 💃☕️
Happy holidays to you as well, I hope they've been full of lots of cheer and blessings 💗🤗
Yes, you will be exposed to all sorts of new bacteria that might take a while for your immune system to become more resistant against... so wash hands and only drink bottle water and for cleaning your teeth too.
Yes, that's an indication that you need to be cautious. In some countries, like the Philippines, you get the opposite effect. When you're seen with a camera, you have a crowd posing waiting for you to take the picture.
Spot on! A very wealthy college dude, indeed!
Haha! I was like, WTF?!

Thank you 🤗😍
