Hello, hello Hivers Friends! It feels like ages since I last updated my blog. I've been incredibly busy juggling my demanding work schedule and motherhood. It's been pouring rain for weeks now, and I've been feeling really lazy. I've lost all my motivation to do anything, including blogging. The rainy weather has just made me want to stay in bed all day. HAHAHA
To stay awake, motivated, and manage everything, I've noticed that I've been drinking way too much coffee lately, coffee for the rescue, LOL. So, I'm thinking of spilling the beans on my love for coffee and sharing my fave coffee shops. Whatcha think??
Have you ever thought about why most people these days prefer and love drinking coffee and hanging out at coffee shops? Coffee shops provide a delightful break from our daily routines, much like a relaxing retreat from your normal life. In coffee shops, we often find ourselves finding peace and tranquility because of its peaceful ambiance that promotes a sense of calm and relaxation that can boost your creativity and productivity. The aroma of freshly irresistible roasted coffee beans that you can smell all over the place is somewhat the kind of relaxation that we need, the couch that you can sit comfortably, and often soothing music, making this a perfect personal haven.
Coffee shops are also an excellent place to catch up life updates with your friends and even make a new one, as they say, coffee and friends are perfect blends. plus as a "marites" person who enjoys the latest chika, watching people and occasionally accidentally hearing their conversations may also be entertaining too HAHAHA.
(hyperacidity who?? LOL )
Here are some coffee shop recos that I know you'll enjoy. P.S. These are not your typical coffee shops in the mall. These coffee shops on the list provide a pleasant atmosphere, stunning views, and reasonable costs.
First Reco: Nanda Cafe
Nanda Coffee is one of the ideal destinations for adventurous nature and coffee lover. It is located at one of the mountain barangays that sits on top of Garing Hills overlooking the nearby Barangays in the town of Consolacion, Cebu. Your drive to Nanda is not that easy, the roads are stiffs since it is on top of the mountain, but Nanda Café is definitely worth the view.
NANDA CAFE offers an al fresco dining experience by the mountain. Taste Filipino and Italian cuisines here. Being at this cafe, eat perfectly cooked hamburgers, chicken wings and pork tonkatsu. It is cool to enjoy great coffee.
It is not just a cafe but also a beautiful place for relaxation and recreation. Some of the recreational facilities and activities that you can use and do there are: monkey bars, children's playground, bato lata, musical wall, firefighter's pole, and a lot more. You can also relax at their treehouse, swings and hammocks spread throughout Nanda Cafe Consolacion Cebu. When you order at their restaurant, you should try their burgers, their bestsellers, but if you love breakfast food like myself, they too have an all day breakfast menu waiting for you. Aside from the restaurant, there is also a Nanda Garden at the peak which is open for venue rental for a minimum of 50 guests, subject to space availability.
Second Reco: Charlie's Cup
Here’s to friendship that knows no bounds.
One of the well-known treehouse café in Balamban known as Charlie’s Cup, a perfect tourist spot to start your day!
The Cebu Transcentral Highway (TCH) has become one of the island’s best spots to check out the newest and most interesting cafes and restaurants with breathtaking views. The long, winding road makes it an ideal for many travelers in search of a new spot to hang out in. As such, many businesses have opened for tourists and local travelers to enjoy.
This is no doubt one of the island’s best places to unwind.
Only an hour away from the city, this Balamban cafe is located along the road of the uphill neighborhood of Tabunan. Balamban has some of the best views, but the comfortable and cozy atmosphere differentiates Charlie’s from the other attractions.
The cool breeze and colorful foliage make you one with nature, and the rustic treehouse style definitely makes it one of the most chill places in Cebu. The restaurant’s appeal is perfect for al fresco dining. The tree house aesthetic offers a unique experience where you can enjoy a hefty meal and an artistic catalog of pictures. They also have several beverages like tea and coffee for customers looking for a quick energy boost. For your sweet tooth, they also have several Filipino desserts like Suman and Brazo de Mercedes.
Third Reco: 21 kilometers Coffee
21 kilometers coffee shop promises a worthwhile visit in (Busay-Balamban) to complete your uphill adventure. It is a specialty coffee shop which is approximately 25 Kilometers or 35-50 minutes drive from the Cebu IT Park, serving coffee and pastries with passion. 21 kilometers coffee just feels very aesthetic! They still have really great coffee, all-day breakfast, pasta and pastries! It is also the perfect place for your next Instagram photo.
(our forever third-wheel 😅)
Fourth Reco: café 8020
Just like any other coffee shops. Café 8020 offers a picturesque and instagrammable scenery. It is Located in The Woodlands in Yati, Liloan. Your choice of spacious indoor seats or the cozy outdoor tables, while the roofdeck is perfect for casual chats under the moon and stars. Fifth Reco: Balwarte ni Vossing
Road trips to Carmen are not complete without a stopover to Balwarte ni Vossing in Carmen. Balwarte ni Vossing, located near Cebu Safari and Adventure Park, is an exquisite café in the forest that is challenging to take in. It is a simple container truck that has been turned into an aesthetically pleasing and attractive eating room. This dining spot in Carmen is definitely a soothing place to visit, with green settings packed with apparently never-ending trees that will make you forget about any stresses you brought with you from the city. Balwarte ni Vossing is occasionally blanketed in fog or mist, giving it a mystical vibe and peaceful ambiance - ideal for individuals who enjoy melancholy weather.
Sixth Reco: Coffee Madness
Coffee madness is located in Tayud, Liloan, Cebu. To be honest this is our family go-to coffee shop. What makes this cafe unique is its down-to-earth aura. Coffee Madness is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Prices here are reported to be affordable.
The cost is fair for everything and the atmosphere is good. No loud noises which will help you feel relax.Coffee Madness is a great spot for spending time with your loved ones and friends. Coffee Madness is an outstanding destination for coffee lovers, enthusiasts, and those looking for an enjoyable environment. The mix of outstanding food, high-quality coffee, and a warm ambiance make it an excellent choice for gathering with friends and family. The pop-up store and the offerings like churros and fried dumplings add an extra layer of delight to the experience. It's always refreshing to find a place where you can relax, enjoy good company, and savor delicious treats.
Here you will be offered nicely cooked spaghetti carbonara, vegetable pizza and seafood. Do not go away without enjoying good biscuits. Delicious frappes, iced coffee or matcha are among the most popular drinks at this cafe.
Nothing beats a delicious cup of coffee, whether hot or in ice. And, honestly, delicious desserts and freshly baked bread pair perfectly with coffee right? like hello?! Who can turn down an ideal combo of a warm chewy chocolate chip cookie with their coffee?? It's the ideal combo, right? Coffee shops are essentially a relaxing, working, or socializing environment. It's the ideal combination of comfort and pleasure.

I think these open-air cafés are a very good concept. What a delight to have a coffee in such a place. The photos are very nice. Regards @kristyenj1992
HAHAHA, i like the behavior because same! Even though I don't want to hear it, my ears will automatically focus on the conversation of other people especially if their conversational tone is kinda dramatic and feels like the chika is juicy😂.
The volume of people at Nanda Cafe, despite their location, says a lot to what kind of menu and place they offer
