Since I no longer find a peaceful coffee time, the habit has become quite rare. Social media platforms have increasingly featured the Kahoy Café in Instagram stories, Facebook reels, and even here on Hive, while numerous users tag it in their posts. I had been eyeing this shop already, and yeah, I delayed my trip to Kahoy Café until everyone I knew had visited already. Just last night, I finally experienced why the place is quite popular and hyped online. I'm sure the visitors, including me, were totally blown away by the experience at this shop.



This casual Kahoy Café is named after the word kahoy, which means "tree" in its literal English meaning. As soon as you enter the café, you discover an environment that welcomes you with cool greenery combined with wooden fixtures and natural hues. You will find this hidden retreat perched in the Consolacion hills in Cebu. Anyone who enjoys nature and needs peace will definitely have a natural environment that feels like home.

We settled ourselves in an outdoor area which offered a perfect combination of fresh air and scenic surroundings. It's like you're having a sip of coffee in the middle of the woods. The establishment provided an exceptional escape from city commotion along with its typical city sounds. Sitting at this place was a therapeutic experience that turned into a healing session. It's more like enjoying the coffee and meditating at the same time. Now, when visiting any café, people usually seek out the coffee because it stands as the main appeal.

Their White Mocha Frappe served me a beverage which tasted smooth yet rich, which suits my preferences. The mixture is not too strong and not too sweet. It had the perfect balance. We people really do recognize the perfect coffee experience because our drink exactly meets our preferences. Yeah, that was it. The drink brought enhanced enjoyment to each sip.

To me, a coffee with a simple dish of comfort food becomes a perfect experience when you eat it in outdoor surroundings with trees and a fresh breeze of coffee scent. Let's also add the perfect music. The feeling stays with me even after I have departed from the place. My thoughts returned to me while I remained seated at the café. Having coffee in this kind of place is like having a short period to pause and reset yourself in the midst of a hectic world. This explains perfectly the experience I had at Kahoy Café. The combination of delicious food and superb coffee created an unforgettable experience which made me take deeper breaths and a wide smile.
