Sea Salt Latte

IMG_0785.jpeg

Hello everyone, Welcome.
Fortunately, life must go on. A lyric from a song by a young woman, Bernadya. Lyrics that are indeed intended for all humans who are still alive and it is very relatable to everyone. In fact, everyone must have fuel in their lives to continue.

One of the fuels in my life is a black bean that has a bitter taste, because we need something to vent. Is it true that the answer is coffee? the answer is absolutely right. Every day, coffee is the fuel for me to survive and continue the day, every morning.

So much time has passed, for the past 10 years coffee has become an easy and cheap fuel, a cup of it makes our lives feel biased and okay. But, of course coffee will never disappoint. Just like the coffee recipe that I will influence you. If you have espresso equipment at home, you should try it once in a while instead of always brewing black coffee.

Sea salt latte. Really, it's my favorite who likes various coffee flavors. So delicious to drink during the day. Of course, coffee during the day is also an option for friends to work, at least my eyes don't feel sleepy when I'm in front of the computer screen. Sea salt latte makes me comfortable.

With these 5 simple tools, I can make 1 glass of delicious iced coffee. It's too expensive to buy it at a coffee shop, but that's okay, it's not wrong to buy it. A grinder, manual espresso, a hot water kettle, and a mini mixer that make this drink go up a class.

I use Arabica that I bought from Gayo. The taste is quite rich, sour and bitter, there is a sweet hint from the coffee beans too. Grind it very finely, as usual I make espresso. While waiting for the water to boil to be dipped, I also prepare some other things to make whipped cream that is not too heavy.

Of course, sea salt is mixed with whipped cream, because it tastes very rich when combined with the fat taste of whipped and milk mixture. Sea salt will give a salty taste, that's the taste of salt. I use sea salt from Bali, I like this sea salt. Not too salty than refined salt, oddly enough, even though it's relatively expensive compared to regular table salt, I really like it.

I mix it until the foam is doubled so that I don't get tired of making it. It only takes 1 minute, even just for the sea salt to mix into the whipped cream.

The ratio of milk, espresso and whipped? Okay, I'll explain a little. This is for 2 glasses, I also made a sea salt latte for him.

  • 3 shots of espresso
  • 250 ml of milk
  • 45 gr of whipped cream + 2 pinches of sea salt + 20 ml of milk
  • 10-20 ml of palm sugar (you can replace it with vanilla syrup or maple syrup)

you have to trying this!

A recipe that will surely make us enjoy a cup of coffee for Very delicious. I've never tried coffee with sea salt, I imagine it gives it a different flavor than regular salt.

Thank you for sharing your recipe with us.☕

Good day.

In my opinion, the taste of sea salt is a little lower than regular salt. Maybe because the salt is pure?

Hello, @isdarmady
We totally agree on that...coffee is like an engine...
Those combinations seem quite exotic to me. Well, I've never tried coffee with those ingredients. However, it would be worth it.
The photographs invite.

Thanks for stopping by! you have to try this recipe.

WOw! You even can make the variant of coffee that there in a cafe shop menu nowadays. I have never tried this variant, your review totally make me directly order the sea salt coffee..

But, you must have a mini espresso machine to make this coffee more perfect and cheaper too.

It's the second time I hear about a latte coffee with sea salt on it... Curious indeed...

Adding sea salt makes it a little more savory than a regular latte.

Oh thanks for such an extraordinary tip, chef @isdarmady
