Excellent Sunday of conversation coffee lovers.
Today I come to participate in this week's conversation with an anecdote that happened to me with coffee.
This happened several years ago, it was when I attended a mass in memory of a deceased relative, here it is customary every year to have a mass in memory of a relative who has passed away, the family gathers and attends the liturgical celebration and then people are invited to have coffee at the house of the person who organized the liturgical meeting. Well, having given you the context, I will now tell you the anecdote.
Once we left the church they took us to have coffee at an uncle's house. The family gathered in that house, shared, laughed, talked and updated the family gossip, haha.
I was with some cousins, I remember it was in the courtyard of the house and they served us coffee with a delicious sweet bread. It was so as I took the first sip of coffee, I don't remember exactly what a cousin said, which caused me to laugh tremendously, and the coffee from my mouth came out expelled from my nose and mouth. The worst part was that the coffee ended up in the face of a cousin who was in front of me. I died of embarrassment while the others burst into loud laughter. It was one of the biggest embarrassments I have ever had in my life.

That's funny! 😂🤣 Something similar happened to me the first time I tried whiskey; just as I had the drink in my mouth and not enjoying it at all, someone made a joke and I blurted it all out like a geyser in the face of an old man. It was very embarrassing; he was like eighty. I remember it now and it seems funny, but back then I wanted a hole to open up in the ground and swallow me up and drop me in China, hahaha. So I understand you perfectly!
They are things that happen, those anecdotes remind us of unforgettable moments, between laughter and joy things happen, we are lovers of good things, Coffee is life and life is a roulette wheel that spins and spins and we fall into another cup of coffee 😄☕
In Cuba there are many jokes related to coffee, mainly about the subsidised coffee, which is sold at a lower price than what it normally costs in the shop or in any private shop, but it is also of lower quality. What happens is that lately this packet of coffee is sold less and less frequently, and this is often not because there is a problem of availability with the coffee itself, but with what the coffee beans are mixed with, which is made with pea beans, umjum, coffee with peas....
And lately in Cuba what is scarce is the pea to mix the coffee, and that always unleashes a sea of memes and jokes because if there is one thing we know how to do, it is to laugh at ourselves. Once they gave the news that the peas came on a ship from Canada and supposedly the place where the ship was was frozen, so it couldn't leave and that's why they didn't sell subsidised coffee for several months. That news unleashed many jokes and jokes on the internet and since then they haven't stopped, something always happens with the peas that delays the distribution of coffee "por la libreta" as we say here 😅.
Personally, I always make fun of my husband for the excessive amount of coffee he always drinks, he serves it in a mug, and I almost always tell him that what he needs is to serve it in a bucket 🪣 because it's too much.

Coffee with peas didn't know that, he asked me how it will affect the flavor. Governments really invent things that are unbelievable.🤭

Hahaha it's true. My friends sent me 2 packages of "blended" coffee the last time I received a package from Cuba. It said in a note: so you don't miss coffee with peas. 🤭🤭🤭.

Oh, dear, those peas! We had a peas & coffee episode that lasted two years here in Venezuela (2016-2017). I learned that people in the countryside were "brewing" peanuts, but that is actually something I'd like to try. You have the book over there (la libreta). We have CLAP here; a 100 gr bag of awful coffee is never missing in the CLAP bag.

Coffee is my best friend
That's what I always say and I've been looking for a cup, which is more like a glass, with a silicone lid that won't burn my hands when drinking but will keep my coffee hot for a long time. Ufff, it seems hard to get, but a few days ago I found it in a popular store in my city in a new shipment that arrived.
I went crazy: I'm a bargain shopper and you won't believe the price....2.5$ .
I loved this and bought my mug.
Unfortunately they don't have home delivery so next week I'll be stopping by the store in person to pick it up.

Very good phrase 😍 After reading it, I remembered one that I usually use in one of the apps that I use the most and it says "Coffee, my anti-drug", I didn't remember it until I read your phrase haha coffee, for many of us, represents that small emotional support, like a pat on the back from a friend who is tired of hearing us complain about everyday life, but who in the end believes in us 😌 The design of the mug you chose to buy is very nice, I hope you enjoy it a lot when you finally buy it have with you 💚

Today I have a temporary cat for my coffee photos 😁 This is Kikín, the last rescued kitten that my sister took to be neutered; I took the picture on Saturday morning. I didn't have work until 1 p.m., so I took it slow both my morning and my coffee... and took my time to get to know Kikín better. He's really sweet.
I've had so much coffee in my life that I should still have many anecdotes to tell. I've been thinking about this since I read this week's topic for the Coffee Conversation, but my memory has a life of its own and does what it wants when it wants, so I'm sticking to puns because I love them. There's one that seems appropriate for the occasion, since I just posted about mistakes with coffee orders:
Sip happensis good when they get your coffee order wrong 😒You order an almond milk latte because you're lactose intolerant, and they bring you a latte with almond milk but they had added infamous cream! You drink it thinking that everything is OK, and then you get sick. Your friend is waiting for you outside the restromm in the coffee shop and she says:

I have so many funny coffee stories but the most recent one is so funny that when I think about it just can’t but laugh.
So my boss got a new brand coffee and for reason I fell in love with this brand and as a result I took coffee more in the office.
My boss kept complaining that we were finishing his coffee but I and my friend assured him that it wasn’t the case.
Little did we know that our boss was watching our every move the next and just while we stood at the coffee making our coffee my boss barged into the room and started snapping and shouting evidence and he threatened us that he was going to post it in. Office group.
Wow! What an anecdote, they caught them with their hand in the cafe I would say.
I imagine they stopped drinking their coffee after that, right?

Well about a year ago or maybe more, I received a gift from a very special person, the truth is I love details and more if they are thought about me, so I loved this one although to be honest, I found the design very funny 🤣 because it has nothing to do with my tastes, but I love its capacity and its design makes me laugh... especially because my imagination is very wide 😂 and I usually think as that funny horse standing on two legs accompanies me to take my coffee...
It is a very nice detail and even more so if it comes from a person who took the time to find this beautiful mug that was not like the usual ones.
I think he showed you that every time he drinks your coffee, you will remember him, he was sure that when you look at the cup you would do so with that beautiful smile that characterizes you.

Hello all coffee lovers! Once again, I can't help but think of those comical moments in television series where some character is portrayed reiterating their need for coffee. In my case, everyone who knows me knows that I can't start my day without first having a cup of coffee and if someone invites me to stay at their house, I never forget to mention that; Luckily, the people I know have coffee makers, so there isn't much of a problem with the issue. But I think if I had to create a motto about coffee, it would be with one of my most recurring thoughts: "I can skip breakfast, but never the first coffee in the morning." I know, it's not a healthy decision, but on occasions when I have to leave the house quickly and have breakfast on the street, I always do it with a little coffee in my stomach 🤣
A memorable anecdote I could tell about coffee would be a couple of meetings I had with a friend a few years ago, who knew about reading palm lines. I never asked her to do it, but she always told me "let's go have a coffee" and there, far from everyone's sight, she read my personality and future through my hand. It was a quite interesting experience because at that time, I was very reserved and the things he told me about myself that I had never told him made me realize that it was a real gift. I did not meet this friend again, but I remember those moments and above all, the delicious mochaccino or cappuccino coffee that we ordered 💚
To date I haven't had my palm read and I really want to. Imagine having that kind of your friend I'd tell him to read my palm every single time things go wrong😂😂
