On the occasion of today being October 1st and the celebration of International Coffee Day, 2024, I am here to share with you a note about the influence of coffee in my life and in my culture. I am here to share with you a note about the influence that coffee has in my life and in my culture. It is also a reflection on how this precious beverage is part of a collective memory.
We would like to understand the true essence of life, at least I would like to, but this earthly world is so complex that when you say you understand on one side you are in diapers on the other.

The most difficult part of life is to understand that death is part of it. While having a coffee with my sister, we remembered the sad moment we just lived. We lost a loved one and his departure, like that of many other close relatives, has been painful.

At his wake, trays of coffee came and went, among the friends and relatives of the deceased, people said: "He loved coffee". That is why we affirm that coffee is the faithful companion of memories. The pleasant and not so pleasant moments are the living image of a life reflected in a cup of coffee.

How many of us would like to anchor only happy moments when sharing a cup of coffee, but no, we do not understand, we do not understand the essence of life.

It is difficult in our Venezuelan culture to celebrate death in the good sense of the word. It is difficult because of the great attachment we feel towards our family and friends. It is difficult because it is simply difficult.

In this place called MK Café, in front of our small table, a family was crying disconsolately, what caused so much pain? I don't know, we didn't know, but there were inferences.

Do you seek refuge in coffee? Yes, because it is, in my opinion, the beverage with the most attributes and goodness in the world. It is the beverage that has the most significance in the life of human beings. I have no idea how many countries enjoy this delicious beverage but I know that there are many of us.

For those who are in Los Teques, Miranda State, I recommend this beautiful little corner called MK Café located on the Panamerican Highway near Makro. It is a place where good coffee is served and the people who attend are good companions. They offer in the store the famous oatmeal cookies, it does not fail, really, the ones from this store have an exquisite taste.

MK Café is beautifully decorated. Alone or accompanied I would be here again.

Remember and let's do the exercise, death is part of life, let's remember our loved ones as they were, let them rest in peace. Gifts, kisses, hugs and words of love are given in life, not after death.

Death is truly a very difficult reality to accept. Loved ones leave our lives and leave a huge hole in our hearts. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything to prevent this tragic fate, but the good thing is that coffee helps us cope with the pain with its delicious flavor. Coffee is always present in all areas of our lives.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

Happy International Coffee Day!

Thanks to you for joining me in this moment.

That's right, my beauty, coffee becomes part of that culture we have in our Venezuela of serving coffee at wakes, drinking coffee calms the soul.

It relieves grief and activates remembrance

Very true, my friend, he is an ally in everything☕

I love the aroma of coffee even more on special occasions. What a wonderful way to celebrate International Coffee Day; without a doubt, the decoration of this coffee shop is elegant and modern; how fantastic that you enjoyed it!

Beautiful place. It is pleasant and offers good service. Greetings 🤗

In Venezuela I don't think I have ever seen a wake where coffee is not offered to the people attending. No matter how poor the deceased is, coffee always appears, solidarity is a good way to show your condolences.

You are right and now that you mention it. The more humility the more willingness to serve the companions to toast some coffee.
