Hello to all coffee lovers, happy and prosperous New Year, many blessings, and many wonderful moments in the company of a coffee, tea, or delicious hot chocolate.

I wanted to participate in the previous initiative at a coffee shop, but I didn't have time to visit one during this last week of Christmas rush, at least not in the relaxed way I like to enjoy a coffee... what we did enjoy were our daily coffees in the tranquility of home.

Yesterday I was finally able to go out calmly to do some shopping, in a much more relaxed city, without queues, transportation problems, or bank system outages, which were the case all last week in the lead-up to Christmas and New Year's.

Of course, stopping to enjoy a coffee was perfectly fine and necessary, and I delved a bit into the theme of the previous initiative about the first coffee of the year compared to the last... in this case, I reflected on the place where I went to buy my first coffee of 2025, which happened to be the same place I visited yesterday for the first coffee of 2026.

It was more or less planned, but it was because, by chance, the places where I was going to do my shopping were very close to that coffee shop. It's Nathalia's pizzeria and coffee shop, the same one that sells Andean breakfasts, and it has two areas: one inside, and another under the green roof of Plaza Bolívar in El Tigre.

I've visited it several times this year, not only because it's close to the shops, but because everything is delicious and it's in a very pleasant location. Today I enjoyed their delicious stuffed potatoes, which always remind me of my time in Mérida and San Cristóbal.

Reflecting on my first two visits in two consecutive years and their differences, I remember that last year I visited on January 16th because it was my birthday, and I went shopping with my daughter. That day I felt a little nostalgic but overall good, full of hope for some ideas I had, but still without concrete plans for the year. This first coffee today gave me a different perspective—more relaxed, more focused, and with clearer plans for the year.

Same places, same dates, but not the same emotions... the beauty lies in being able to create interesting stories over coffee. Thank you all for visiting my blog.
