𝑨𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒚'𝒔 𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔: 𝑨 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒌-𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒆 𝑮𝒊𝒇𝒕

For the few times I've spent with Anthony, I've come to realize how much of a simple person he is, while talking, he told me how he had to regift most of his gift to someone because he never really fancied them, on several occasions I and Anthony have had deep conversations that gave me an insight to who he was.

Whenever I wanted to gift him, his picky attitude would hold be back because I wanted to gift him something simple and thoughtful that he would appreciate. From our random conversation, I noticed that were both coffee lovers, so I knew a coffee related gift might be a perfect choice, however it was a struggle to settle for something related to coffee he would appreciate so much.

One afternoon, I decided to visit him at his office while I went for my fabric sourcing, his office is on the island, and that's exactly where I shop too, on the island, it only took me a bus of $0.72 to get to his office from the market which I visited.

Prior to my visit, we had a conversation and he told me how their coffee dispenser machine at work was having some issues, he depended on his office machine to enjoy a cup of coffee every morning as he leaves for work pretty early, only for him to be disappointed that morning.

While shopping for the fabrics to use in my shop, I kept thinking about him, and how I could make his day.

Firstly, I knew my surprise visit would definitely put a smile on his face but it should be accompanied by something more.

I had almost exhausted the cash I had at hand, but I realized that we don't need too much to put a smile on someone's face. What was left with me was my transportation fare to his office and from his office to my fashion store and a little leftover.

I quickly visited a candy store around the market and bought him some coffee bite with the leftover money I had with me, in excitement I boarded a bus to his office.

As soon as I got to his office, i called him on the phone that I was on his company's premises, it was something unbelievable to him.

"Amie, are you joking?" His response gave him away that I was the least person he was expecting that afternoon.

"No, Anthony, for real I'm outside, come take me in." In a few minutes Anthony was outside and I loved the smile on his face, "wow, you surprised me today, I thought you were going to the market? You really inconvenienced yourself for me?" He was so excited as we walked to his office.

I was offered a bottle of water, and then we had a little conversation, as soon as I was about leaving, I acted like I wanted to give him a hand shake and that was how I transferred the coffee bite into his palms.

This gift was of little value, but Anthony appreciated it so much, he quickly unwrapped the candy and threw it into his mouth like something he had be craving. "You're so thoughtful Amie, I missed taking coffee today, but this coffee candy has made up for it in its own little way, thanks my dear friend."

I was very happy that he appreciated my little effort of putting a smile on his face, I was convinced because he licked the candy right in my presence, so I didn't have a doubt that he gifted it to someone else, plus the smile on his face said it all.

He accompanied me outside the company, and planted a perk on my cheek, he offered to pay my transportation back home but I declined, because I wasn't expecting anything in return.

"We'll talk on the phone later Anthony, take care of yourself and stay cheerful okay?" I bade him goodbye and left for my fashion store and my one act of thoughtfulness made us besties till date, Anthony doesn't joke with anything that concerns me and I am still in awe what a little coffee candy of small value could do to our friendship.
