Hello coffee lovers, let me introduce myself, Adrian Leonardi, a barista at one of the big cafes in my city. Working in the coffee sector is really fun, especially meeting lots of people, more or less things that other people don't know. Social interactions and oddities that occurred while I was a barista were that my barista friends didn't drink coffee, hahaha. It's very strange isn't it, the barista serves coffee to customers but my friends don't like drinking coffee.

How can we interact with customers if we don't drink coffee? If you are a barista, from now on, if you have read my writing, you must start to train yourself to love coffee. At first it would definitely be difficult if you weren't used to it, my barista friends also didn't like drinking coffee at first, until in the end I made training for coffee cupping. The purpose of coffee cupping is to assess the taste, aroma and process of the coffee. By training myself to cup coffee, my barista friends can start to love coffee and be able to explain it to customers.
This photo is of my friend who I told you about, it's very strange not being able to interact with coffee because he doesn't like drinking coffee. Maybe you are wondering why a barista doesn't like coffee? I also asked my friend and the answer was that the coffee was not good, until I explained it slowly to my friend and trained him to drink coffee using the cupping technique as I explained above.
I like coffee, I love coffee, you have to know that coffee is not just about taste, but coffee is an art, the art of mixing coffee with many techniques that you can use to produce maximum and optimal taste that customers like. A barista's big job is to explain coffee to consumers. every barista should be able to drink coffee. Don't be like my friend, a barista but doesn't drink coffee, how can we explain coffee to our buyers.
A little story about the oddities I faced when I was a barista. You can support me to continue writing and guide me in writing some brewing techniques. If you are interested in this article, please comment below, don't forget to like and follow me. Thank You.
a barista must love coffee
It is indeed wild that a barista would not have a natural passion for the beverage they serve. Thankfully, you are set to fixing this anomaly!

How can they resist the temptation, damn!
I resonate with your point of view here. A lot of the times when I am trying out a new cafe, I will often ask the barista their personal recommendation. And if they do not drink the coffee themselves, how are they going to give me the right suggestion?
This is something I often face, if I see a customer who wants to ask my friend about coffee, I immediately take over and approach him and build communication with the customer.
