My experience with online shopping.

I don’t usually shop online, but there was this one time in 2022 when I needed to get beard oil to help boost my beard growth. I was still in school, and there was no way I could find something like that around me. That was when I decided to try online shopping. I had heard about Jumia before, and people always had good things to say about them. So, I thought, why not give it a try?

I went straight to their website and started searching for beard oils that wouldn’t cost too much. After a bit of browsing, I found one that caught my attention. It was super affordable— not more than a thousand naira--and iit promised to help with the beard growth . The price was actually very tempting, but since I had never shopped online before, I was a bit hesitant. Luckily, one of my friends had experience with online shopping, so I asked him to help me out.

He had a Jumia account and was already planning to buy a few things for himself. So, we decided to place the order for my beard oil along with the items he needed. It was a smooth process, and after completing the order, we were informed that the items would be delivered in a few days. True to their word, the package arrived at the DHL service point on our campus.

When the delivery notification came, my friend went to pick up the items . The process was straightforward—he just needed his name and a few details to claim the package. Later on, he brought my own item to me, and I was actually surprised. The beard oil was neatly packaged and wrapped up, exactly as described on the website.

That was my very first experience with online shopping, and honestly, it went better than I expected. It was super convenient, especially since I didn’t have to stress about finding the item on my own. The only problem, I’d say, is having to pay for delivery and then waiting a few days to get what you ordered. But overall, it was a smooth and satisfying experience.

It actually worked fine and it even helped to moisturize the beards later on, but it took time before i saw the results. Since then, I haven't actually engaged in online shopping. Most times, i do engage in physical shopping. I just love when i can see, try out and even touch what i intend to buy before paying for it. But then that experience taught me that online shopping can be a lifesaver when you can’t find what you need nearby.
