I really love spending time on my phone; I can’t imagine going a day without scrolling through social media or checking my messages, emails or bank transactions. My phone has become such a huge part of my daily routine that it feels odd to even be without it.
It isn’t just a gadget to me, it’s more like a companion. Whenever I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I find myself reaching for it.
It's also a tool that helps me unwind and escape from whatever is bothering me. There is never a dull moment whenever i am with my phone , i can easily jam my favourite songs online on spotify ,watch movies or even watch comedy videos on YouTube.
With that been said, I enjoy using the PC, too.
The first laptop I ever used was from my sister—it was an Asus brand. She had used it for years before handing it over to me and it had its own fair share of problems, but then I grew to love using it.
Currently, it has developed fault but there was just something about typing on the keyboard that made writing codes feel special.
Over time, I have also found myself watching more movies on the laptop. It was actually a good way for me to enjoy my favorite films on a larger and bigger screen.
Infact, at times i would download movies on my phone and then transfer them to my laptop using my USB cord and those movies were way more enjoyable for me.
Of course, I know laptops can do a lot more tasks than phones, especially when it comes to tasks like coding or graphic design. I mean, trying to practice coding on a phone is just not practical. But then both devices have their own unique strengths, and they serve different purposes in my life. While the laptop is great for serious work and projects, my mobile phone feels like an extension of myself.
Still, if I had to choose, I’d definitely pick my mobile phone anytime.
Right now, I don’t have a working laptop, and I genuinely wish I had a new one. But the idea of being without my phone? That’s a whole different level of anxiety.
It would feel like a part of me is missing. I can’t even imagine going somewhere without it in my pocket . Just even thinking about it gives me the chills.
My phone keeps me connected with my friends and family, helps me manage my day, allows me perform daily transactions online and provides me with endless entertainment. It’s just so convenient to carry it around and have everything at my fingertips. Whether it is scrolling through Instagram or tik-tok, chatting with friends on WhatsApp, or catching a quick YouTube video, my phone is always imperative.
In the end, while both the laptop and phone are important, I know I would always choose my mobile device. It’s my window to the world, my source of comfort, and an essential tool in my everyday life. Being without it actually feels unimaginable.
