The beneficial aspect of technology is so vast that it can cover various areas that affect human existence. Hence, technology for emergency purposes can occur through different means, the advancement of technology in the areas of communication, GPS, mapping, smartphones, up to date apps and so on, can help to eliminate stress and attend to matters urgently. There are different instances where technology has coming handy to Save the Day, people have been able to carry out activities from the comfort of their space and solve difficult situations that could have been fatal or dangerous. Instances of how technology has been beneficial in times of emergencies which will be discussed in this blog.
The first and most important aspect will be the use of smartphones to carry out different purposes such as sending a text or making important calls. There was one time I traveled to another part of the state and I got stranded. One thing I hate most is arriving somewhere I am not familiar with late in the night, even descriptions would not help matters as it is dark. I had to quickly call another friend who took his time out to explain in details via a text message before I could understand the location properly. Again, the use of GPS and maps has come in handy when I feel like I am getting lost in an area. And one viable feature of these maps is that they can help to navigate you through to a safety location if you feel in danger.
One time as well, I had an emergency in school where we had to submit an assignment before a specified time because the deadline had passed and we were behind schedule. To scale through the emergency period, I had to quickly type out my assignment on my phone using the Microsoft word app, although it didn't achieve the final editing result but I was able to save time and energy by doing that.
Finally, the powerbank is another technology that has greatly helped in times of emergency. One thing that is not consistent in my country is power supply, hence people need an extra source of power that can be moved around to charge phones and other items. Many times the power bank has come to my rescue especially when I have an appointment or a deadline to meet, or an important call to make.
These advancements in technology has gone a long way to make life easier and to accomplish tasks faster and hassle free. The only thing is that these gadget can be too expensive to purchase.
