I will begin by saying indeed technology is a life saver to man kind. For different reasons and purposes, technology has been used to achieve great results we all have benefited from making life an easy run so one can't dispute the fact that truly we have benefited from technology one way or the other.
I honestly don't think I can end writing how technology has been of help to me in times of emergency and crisis like.... I have no where to turn to and in the midst of nowhere technology played it role. Few years back, me and my younger brother were traveling to the village to pay our grandparents a visit and because it was the first time traveling alone that too without my parents, I was excited yet anxious at the same time. Being warned by my daddy not to play with my smart phone until I reach my destination I didn't handle the phone much only used it for few times and then dropped it inside my bag.
Already my dad has informed the driver at the park that he won't be traveling with us, just me and my brother so he should help onboard us on another vehicle going to my aunt location when we arrive Benue state. Unfortunately, I guess the new car we onboarded was lost in thoughts as at the time we mentioned our location to him and then he dropped us off at another location. On the other hand I myself thought I was at the right location so I called my aunt to come pick us up only for my aunt to say she can't see us. I described and described how the place l was standing looked like and that was how my aunt confirmed we were in another location. 😰
I didn't know what to do at that point because although where he dropped us was a tiled road but since I was standing there with my brother I have not seen any two legged person walking and cars were just few in numbers passing on high speed that too it was getting late again. I wished I had seen anyone around to ask questions and I was too scared to move around before I worsen the whole matters so I stood in my position while my aunt was looking for a way out to come pick us.
I wondered why I never thought of this, 🤔 probably because I wasn't calm due to fear of being missing with my little brother but then I remembered something called GPS (Global Positioning System). I quickly on my data and switched to gps to help find my location and yes we were later found so that was how technology became my savior in time of crisis and emergency too.

Technology is immensely helpful.
It may have been sp difficult to find your way out if there was no GPS. And considering how you described the place you both were standing, it must have been terrifying

It was indeed terrifying no sight of any house neither did I see anybody since I stood there.

Isn’t it amazing how you can never really get lost as far as your device has GPS? Anyway, why were you scared to move around? Did the place not seem safe enough or you really just didn’t want to keep on getting lost?
To me it doesn't seem safe at all seeing that for hours not even sight of a single being neither houses and that too just few number of cars were passing.
Not just that, so many thoughts were running through my mind same time so I better just stay one place seeing that I was with my younger brother too.
The existence of GPS is really a blessing. Most of the times when I'm travelling through places and it's mostly filled with bushes, it's always my phone's GPS to use to track where exactly I am.
It is indeed a blessing helping people find their way through places.
Imagine getting lost in the middle of nowhere. We thank God for technology.😅
