Wedding Cake and 3G grow update - Switching to flower

Hi,

I've made the executive decision to switch to the flower light cycle, honestly this must have been one of the longest veg cycles known to man, I'm 4 weeks over my intended veg and that was already on the long side!

I've trimmed off some of the lower branches and defoliated a little, I thought I'd wait a short while for them to spread across the SCROG net to see where needs leaves removing.

After a discussion with @futuremind about lighting, mostly for photographic purposes I hooked up the MH but took some of todays pictures both before and after hanging the MH, sorry about that, will try harder!

I'm glad I changed lights as it looks like I have some nutrient deficiency! Looking at the charts on the Canna Curate Discord I'm still no sure which, could be magnesium, manganese or zinc, maybe someone has a better eye for deficiencies?

Tomorrow is water day (silicate) then a few days till nute day, will give them veg nutes this time then probably be switching to flower nutes.

I've removed the chair so I could hang the SCROG net, I found a wooden block to put the ballast on for now.

And the one I took after switching back to HPS, just to show the SCROG net:

I've been unable to locate an extension lead for the light but am going to the city this week so can hopefully find one there. I should also be able to visit the grow store if I need nutrient amendments, maybe I'll get some seeds for the next grow, I'll see how my cash flow is.

I'd love to get another light and cool tube but my cash flow definitely won't stretch to that! 😭

The MH definitely makes it easier to see the plant better in the photographs!

There's a lot of yellowing going on but the plants otherwise look healthy.

Do you have a read on the pH?

Definitely the MH is much better for photos 👍
The discolouration seems better today, only the wedding cake is showing signs, hopefully whatever the issue was has resolved itself.🤞
About the only thing I think I'm doing right is pHing the water! 🤣 Assuming the kit I have is accurate! I really want to pick up a digital kit

For insanity avoidance digi meters are best 😂
That's good though that you're pH'ing, and good that the problem seems to be correcting itself!
It might be deficiency as you were suspecting, maybe Nitrogen and/or Calcium and/or Magnesium.
Whenever my plants start looking like that I dose them with those three things and it usually does the trick ;)
You could still dose them with a veg feed for the first week or two of flowering to bump up the deficiencies and then switch to flowering feed. Many flowering feeds don't call for feeding until 2-3 weeks anyway.
You got this 💪

I checked on them today, the wedding cake still shows some signs of deficiency but WAY better, the other two are lush and green other than one yellow leaf which I removed.

One of the 3gs is starting to spread across the net nicely, the wedding cake is getting there, the other needs a few more days before I can start training it on the net.

Hopefully my flower nutes are still viable, this is the same bottle I've had since I started!

your plants looks so beautiful and healthy! I am tempted to try a indoor set up one of these days -- they looks so happy there.

Thanks 💪
There are advantages to both indoor and outdoor, I tried an autoflower outside last year but was taught to grow inside

is expensive a good ligth for indoor tents?

The bulb is about 20 euro, the ballast 80+, cool tube 40 then need some ducting etc 10 euro, so looking at 150 minimum. (The ballast might be more but in the ball park)

An LED panel would probably be 450euro, if I had the cash I'd buy that, they last longer and can be controlled
