Slow progress but healthy - update on Wedding Cake and Triple G grow

Hi all,

I'm simultaneously pleased and disappointed with progress so far, pleased in the sense that they look healthy, I don't think I've ever had such good looking plants! Disappointed that they are not bigger by now.

I had been waiting for them to show signs of struggling before adding nutrients but have decided that I will proceed, I remember in the last few grows the plants had a massive spurt after adding nutes.

For now I have given them a dose of the potassium silicate, I can't find ANY of my measuring devices so had to eye-ball 2ml, hopefully I got it right, I'll pick up a new syringe the next time I'm in town - I have a phobia of needles (amongst so many phobias!) but will dispose of the pointy bit ASAP! 🤣

I will give them some nutes in 5-7 days, I think I'll need to veg these in to the new year, I was hoping to swich to flower around Christmas time.

I'm still using the small pots, I'll check to see if the roots have reached the edge of the pots then transfer to the larger pots, hopefully this will give me a chance to sort out the pitting in the soil!

Maybe I should have given them nutes first? And started a week ago!

Not done any training yet, seem far too small.

I'm struggling to keep the temperature in the room up, I might swich to the HPS, I'll see how they respond to the nutes next week then decide. I do wish I'd left the heat pad on longer but given the issues I've had with previous grows I was paranoid of cooking them again 😦 Now that I trust the light/heat I'll leave it on for the next grow.

Not much else to say, I'll get the next post up when they spurt 🤞

They're looking good @cannaworms!

Sometimes the stage between seedling and mature adult plant seems to take forever and it really tests the patience, but overall they look healthy and happy.

If the soil is not nutrient rich they might need some added nutrients, it's a tough call though if the temperature is low because low temps could stunt the growth as well, and adding nutrients in this case might stunt or damage them. If it's chilly that might be the main culprit slowing them down.

Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see how these turn out!

Thanks! 👊👊
They're in lightmix so not super rich.
I'll switch over to the 600w HPS, hopefully I can raise the temperature of the room 👍
