| Right now, it's quite tough with mushrooms—mushroom season just won’t start since spring is still not in full swing. That’s why I skipped my last Fungi Friday. But today, while walking with my youngest son, I decided to visit the forest, heading to the spots where I had found elf cups (Sarcoscypha coccinea) and Judas’ ears (Auricularia auricula-judae) in previous years. However, they were nowhere to be seen again. I have no idea why they disappeared. At first, I thought they lacked moisture when I visited earlier this year. But since then, there has been rain—even snow, which has melted—so the ground is now well-moistened. Yet, I still couldn’t find any mushrooms. However, the walk wasn’t in vain! I stumbled upon an entire tree trunk densely covered with a very interesting fungus. I didn’t know its name, so I took a photo and used Google Lens to identify it. The most likely result was parchment fungus (Trichaptum biforme). When dried, this fungus really does resemble parchment. If it were wider, maybe one could even write on it! Perhaps that’s where its name comes from. I hope that next time, I’ll be able to share more exciting mushroom finds with you, especially those that grow in spring. | Привіт, друзі! Зараз із грибами доволі сутужно — грибний сезон ніяк не може розпочатися, оскільки весна ще не в розпалі. Саме через це я пропустив свою минулу грибну п'ятницю. Але сьогодні, гуляючи з молодшим сином, я вирішив зайти до лісу в місця, де минулими роками знаходив ельфійські чаші (Sarcoscypha coccinea) і юдині вуха (Auricularia auricula-judae). Однак їх знову там там не було. Чому вони зникли — не знаю. Спочатку я думав, що їм бракує вологи, коли приходив туди вперше цього року. Але згодом випав дощ, навіть сніг, який розтанув, тож земля зараз достатньо зволожена. Попри це, грибів я так і не знайшов. Втім, прогулянка виявилася не марною! Я натрапив на цілий стовбур дерева, густо оброслий дуже цікавим грибом. Його назву я не знав, тож сфотографував і за допомогою додатка Google Об'єктив спробував ідентифікувати. Найбільш вірогідний результат — це трихаптум пергаментний (Trichaptum biforme). Цей гриб, коли висихає, справді нагадує пергамент. Якби він був ширшим, можливо, по ньому навіть можна було б писати! Напевно, звідси й походить його назва. Сподіваюся, що наступного разу зможу поділитися з вами більш цікавими грибними знахідками, особливо тими, що ростуть навесні. |
