What's up Fungi family ?

I've been up too a lot, yeah the every day routines, work, driving, but lately I started escaping out in the woods and mountains as much as possible. Whenever I find time to escape and visit home, out in the mountain.

Autumn has started, lots of rain misty days have started and my favorite thing to do, started and I'm lovin it' !

Hunting mushrooms has been my passion ever since I started walking, it's been in the family for many years before I came to this world, so I can't help it.

It's on my blood, it's in my DNA and yeah I admit, I'm craazy about mushrooms. I love seeing all sort of mushrooms, fungi and other alien like mycelium. Best part or the part that makes my day so much greater is finding an edible one. Or even better, enough for a soup or even better when I can also share these super foods and give away as special gifts to other people.

Here are some finds from one day, even though it has been raining heavely, it didn't stop me from returning.
There are Summer caps, various Boletus and some magic ones where there is so little knowledge about. It is sad that nowadays our medicine offers people in trouble pills instead of real human help.

Not edible, but a great indicator for Boletus near by. :)

Hope you also found some this season, it's really a super food that gives us health and strength benefits, also an amazing way to exercise while getting a ton of fresh air.

Till next time, stay awesome... Happy, Strong & Healthy my friends !

Sort:

I've seen the mushrooms but I forget where and they are almost the same size but a slightly different color.

There are many different color combination, a lot of them are edible caps and boletuses, but others are extremely dangerous, best to do your own research, maybe even buy a mushroom book guide.
Even after over 20 years of experience, I often do the 3 basic tests :
visual (it looks right, doesn't change color
smell (( it has to smell good )
& it's quality (I tapp them on top to feel it's strenght, so I know it isn't too old, before I take it)

Also, always clean the mushroom in the woods, cut it, instead of pulling it out, so it may grow in the same place again :)

raaawr!

I've been looking closely in the fields... but nothing magical looking back at me so far...

Look where there are cows, liberty cap's also grow on scottland without such a high altitude, but you need cows or some sort, it got cold now on 1500m :)
I avoid magic out of the woods, as it's a lot easier to eat poison

Splendid trofeis ☘️

Yes indeed, so happy I was able to make special gifts for others and share this super healthy trophies with people that are close to me :)
raawr!

Beauties! They look even better with all the mist and fog around. What a great weather :)

Magical day when the mountains gave me a call, the weather was really just perfect for growing mushrooms, so much soo that I went back down, changed clothes as it was raining all the time, took a good friend with me and we were hunting mushrooms till dark, with a lot of luck and full basket! :)

Raawr! 😋

It's always good to do your own research about mushrooms, just to be double sure, I've been hunting them for over 20 years
