Hello to all the passionate followers of this wonderful "FungiFridayCommunity": It's wonderful to be starting the year accompanying our friend @ewkaw in his brilliant initiative "FungiFridayContest": This is one of those challenges that serves as an excuse to leave the house and get moving, something extremely important for our bodies and mental health, as well as enriching your knowledge about this wonderful natural world.

Hiking is one of those activities I really enjoy, especially when we're looking for mushrooms. I say "looking" because we don't always find any to photograph when we go for a walk, although this year has been quite rainy, and as you know, that's very good for their growth. So much so that every time we leave the house we've found "species":beautiful ones. These little ones are very striking, and you have to be very careful with them, since they are toxic species.

¨Psilocybe¨-¨cubensis¨:

While the "family" :of this fungus is well known, the species to which it belongs is not so common, since we don't always find them; They are commonly known here as "shelf" type "mushrooms", and I think the reason for the name is quite obvious. They are one of those that need wood to develop, and it is normal to find them in tree trunks

¨Polyporaceae¨:

This other beautiful and striking "species" :  that grows on tree trunks or branches. These specimens aren't so common to see, although I have to say we found them several times last year, and it was wonderful to come across them.

¨Panus¨-¨fasciatus¨ :

This latest discovery has been very significant, given that on the same branch where we found this species we came across this beautiful and colorful specimen, a rare occurrence. It's wonderful to always be prepared with our camera ready to photograph as many species of "fungi" as we find along the way.

Muchas gracias, querida amiga @ avdesing

While I love all the mushrooms you've found, the colorful ones are my favorites.

The photos are beautiful.

I also think Pycnoporus are the icing on the cake; they're truly striking fungi.

Good afternoon, my dear @jlufer. I was already familiar with Psilocybe mushrooms from a trip to northern Spain. They're abundant in the meadows of Asturias. Although I don't think I could tell the difference between the ones in the photos and the ones I've seen.

Of the other species, that hairy mushroom caught my eye... I think it's the first time I've ever seen one.

I hope you're enjoying a lovely afternoon.

Good day, dear friend @enraizar

Dung mushrooms are quite common and can be found almost everywhere in the world, and in each area there are different species.

The hairy trumpet mushroom is beautiful; they aren't very common to see, but when they do appear, we enjoy them immensely.

Thank you so much for this kind visit and your support.

Enjoy your weekend!
