Rotten stump and continuous rain and this is what you get!
A whole bunch of tiny mushrooms popping right from the center of it.
After few hours in the forest picking the edible and shooting th less edible ones, these were one of the cutest looking ones. And no, I don't have a clue what they are :)
This was mostly pine forest with some leafy trees here and there an I supposed this was a pine tree too. The enter of it was falling apart collecting needles, leaves and mosses. A nice a cozy home it seems.

A tiny little fairy world with the young seedlings surrounding them.

Few metres away, on a different equally decomposing stump I found another type. But just two of them, not a big group like the previous one.
It is so nice to see how they just pop from between the cracks. All together with young pine seedlings.
Less nice knowing that none of them will survive. The mushrooms will probably die in few days and th young pines during th upcoming winter.

Enjoy these while you can seems to be the major takeaway. Why do all these precious things not last? I love the little twigs as they look like their arms are outstretched looking for a big hug.

It's all natural light. I keep planning of making some diffuser for the lamp and I never do it. It's very handy on cloudy days.

You have cacti too? I stopped buying this year and not sowing as much as I don't have where to put them anymore. Especially that they need bigger an bigger pots. I better take care of the ones I have and make them grow nice and big.
No more room for orchids too, though I still have few in mind I would love to have. The right time will come :)

I reached the same point with orchids. They also become a bit of a chore when fertilising and cleaning big quantities, so I had to stop buying too.
Oh no, I don't have so many cacti or sucs, I have more orchids than any other plants. but I love to try a little bit of everything. I used to kill every single cactus I owned, so it hurt my ego and had to try until I succeeded to keep one alive for a few years ;)
I will introduce the survivals one day :D

We eat mushrooms alot over here, am certain of it's here we would have given those mushroom a lovely name and enjoy them as soup. Those pictures are so clear and beautiful.
