Hello..good evening mushroom hunter friends, I hope all of you are in good health always.
This afternoon at around 16.25 pm I picked up my wife from her teaching assignment at Sukma Bangsa High School Lhokseumawe, and arrived at Sukma Bangsa school about 5 minutes later. My wife is still not done in her study because there is still a little work to do, so I take this opportunity to look for mushrooms in the school yard. I brought my two children with me at the time, and they also joined in looking for mushrooms. There were about 10 minutes I went around the school grounds looking for mushrooms, but none that I found at that time. But thankfully the daughter suddenly shouted for me and said that she found a piece of mushroom nearby.
When I saw it, this mushroom was not perfect anymore. Some of the sides of the mushroom's petals have been split or cut off and I don't know why. Then I matched this mushroom to Google Lens to find out the name and what type or genus this mushroom belongs to. And this fungus is named Coprinellus flocculosus.
Coprinellus flocculosus is a species of agaric fungus in the family Psathyrellaceae. This fungus was first described as Agaricus flocculosus by the mycologist Augustine Pyramus de Candolle in 1815, and then transferred to the genus Coprinellus in 2001.
