RE: Hoping for a great year of drumming

in Drumming16 days ago

Hi my friend, I love drums, though I don't have one and I have to use VST Plugins sampled drums, I love both Acoustic and Electronic drums for specific situations, and projects, I was listening to your performance with the acoustic drums, it has a nice sound I liked it, do you change the skins of drums yourself? and what do you do for tuning them?
Enjoyable folk performance with The Riverkicks, I also love Folk music, recently I was listening to some Nordic and Irish folk music. beautiful sound of flute also in your band, feels so good.
Druid Fest reminds me of songs that I heard on a video game AC Pirates. the way they shout like how they were singing and shouting on ships.
awesome work with Jazz session, smooth yes sharp sound with those drums sticks.
you guys playing drums live on Drumeo? seems like a cool platform. I will check it more later.
Nice to see that you are focusing so much on what you are doing and even going to classes, that's great man, I wish you more success on your musical path.
I also like to hear you electronic drums, if you had a video or sound or you will record a new video for it, I will be happy to see and hear its sound :)

I've not actually changed the skins yet and it needs doing as the previous owner didn't either. I will look for some advice on that as I have little experience with acoustic drums.

The folk stuff is fun and we offer something different to all the rock bands out there. We mix in some more modern tunes too. It's a great bunch of people to play with. The jazz is more of a challenge and I could spend the rest of my life learning about it. I like playing rock stuff too.

Drumeo is not live, but they provide lessons on everything. They have schools for other instruments like piano, guitar, singing and bass that I could use if I had time. There's good community there of thousands of musicians.

I've posted a few videos with the e-drums. This one was for a Drumeo collaboration.

I find that making videos is an incentive to try new music. I may not get a lot of gigs with the band, but I want to keep playing anyway.
