Hive is full of notorious down votes. Do you feel the proposal from @trostparadox will have any impact on the down voting wars on hive platform ?
The proposal is rejected I believe.
I won't say is rejected but I will say he is close with the proposal but s lot have to be factored into it and considered,so that once disciplinary actions are taken against a participant it will not stair up disagreement in the platform.

There were two proposals. First one was rejected. Second one still has about 15 hours to go, but looks like it will be rejected unless some serious votes come in at the last minute.

And I don't think it must be only trostparadox presenting the proposal for the POB community, anyone who have a good reason well factored can make proposal to be adopted by the community.
I am honestly not in favor of the witch hunt downvotes and the gangs that form up. Every time I come across people who support downvote, I stay away from them. The reason price of HIVE goes down could be one reason that it has a lot of such groups.
I agree. We need to work together as a team to let this platform grow and the price increase. With such groups, the common goal is suppressed and people keep working towards their specific agendas which doesn't really mean growth and success of the platform.

I concur with you on this too, downvote actually affect the price and growth of Hive. making participant afraid of the hive ecosystem system is not a good idea and impression to relay.
Downvotes is not a bad idea itself but some people have started abusing it,some now downvote for no reason...if they do not like you they just downvote you and they have turned it into a personal attack...
Downvote wars can be stopped when people know that there will be a penalty for it..
I don't think putting penalty on the use of downvote is okay because if that is done that means the purpose of creating such option in the platform is neglected.

Downvote is not bad and I'm not against that, but we all have to know is created for a reason and not meant for personal quarrel which is the abuse.
So I think we all have to know the reason for this downvote and use it appropriately when needed is some cases of plagiarism or other actions which do not support the platform.
I heard about the proposal ,downvotes should not be scraped out from the platform ,yeah i kmow some users might have been using downvotes to attack other users but i believe stopping downvotes is not a good decision either,but what should be done is that anyone downvoting for no reason could be warned to stop doing that,but also lets be honest we cannot control people on what to do with their stake,we can only advice them...
Just as you feel I don't think it should be scrap completely so that the community will be not be spam,but their should be a kind of restrictions for those that downvote without any genuine reason is of doing that..

Getting to warn people who use it is another thing which we may not know the actual reason for them to take such action against a fellow participant.

Definitely alot of things as came up and have not really get to read his post on downvoting,but I think with what have come across in this comment,the downvoting issue should be well looked into and to me I even think maybe the downvoting issues should be restricted to all the bot alone or the hivewatchers to enable more competency on it.
Trust me the hivewatchers won't downvote any users base on the fact that they don't like your comment or your opinion is wrong base on what a user posted,but they will when you have go against one rule or the other,like abuse of tags and plagiarism just like I was a. Vitcim of this punishment of recent in which I take responsibility for cause I was guilty of it when I newly joined this platform,and it was as a result of not having a tutor to actually helped me out with the rules and regulations of this platform

I have a question to anyone reading the comments, what languages do you speak/understand well?
I start: I speak and understand well Portuguese, Spanish, and English, I'm building my knowledge in German, but I don't speak or understand well most of the words.
I can understand and speak English , Hindi and Urdu. Also I know how to read Arabic but i can't communicate in that language with people.
I also learned a little bit of French when I was in school back in year 2010 , so i don't remember much of that.
I speak English, Yoruba, Pidgin English, I understand Bini very well but I don't know how to speak it fluently. I am also building my knowledge on French, so I can say I speak a little French.
Thanks mate in our country I do speak English, and two other which am learning how to be speaking different country languages like Spanish,German and Chines.

Well, English for me. Also have a native language but wouldn't include it has I'm so poor when it comes to speaking and understanding it. Due to were I grew up, u could learn much of it.
Would love to learn several other languages. French and Spanish seems like a very good. I know in time, I will have to get acquainted with one of this.

If you want someone to teach you Spanish, you should learn from someone who is a native speaker of Spanish or from someonee who can speak it very well. Although I know Spanish, I do not know it well enough to be helpful as a teacher.

What some people do not understand is that because someone understands a language do not mean they will automatically teach other person the language...
It's like with driving. You may be a good or even great driver, but that doesn't mean you can teach someone how to drive.

Very essential to be multi-lingual ,it helps alot and I must say I speak English fluently and have been been learning how to speak Indonesia too through the help of @lebah teaching class and even with that am taking classes on how to speak India too due to my love and passion for the country and mostly especially.my favorite city Mumbai

I lived half my life in one country and half my life in another country on the other side of the world. It took some time but I enjoy both cultures to the last detail.
One of the things I kind of miss about my own country that I can't find in the new country is Root Beer. Of course I could import a root beer, but it's not worth it and it's not the same quality. I remember as a kid drinking root beer and loving it. The key ingredient to root beer is sassafras. That's what I can't find in Korea.
On the other hand when I visit America there are some Korean foods that I miss. Mostly the kimchi in America is not the same as my mother-in-law's kimchi. The oysters and the small shrimp she uses gives the kimchi a kick.
I wonder if there is any food that is very special to you or something unique that you miss.

I really miss lasagna a bit... but it's to expensive to cook one nowdays in my country, everything is to expensive. The meat is expensive, the milk is expensive, the cheese and ham is expensive... it costs almost 15% of a monthly minimum wage to cook a nice lasagna...
Wow, that's crazy. Here in the Netherlands it's actually considered a quite cheap meal. Sorry to hear it man, I do reckon that the few times you get to make and eat it, it's even more enjoyable? Hell, after reading your comment I will be enjoying the next time I eat lasagne more. Knowing I shouldn't take that for granted and be happy to be able to afford it.

Well I have a lot of things I miss from my home town and my native food.
Maybe you guys don't know in Nigeria we have 3major ethnic groups with different culture and believes, you'll also find different languages but the major is three language shared between the ethics groups with is Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba.
This difference is culture shows that we Nigerian also have different cultural food. Well I'm from Igbo tribe one of the best tribes and you can find igbos is many countries.
I miss my Igbo native food because I'm in Yoruba tribe where I reside for now but still looking for a steady job. My native food I miss is ukwa(breadfruit), ukpa(oil been), Oha soup and so many others.
I don't have pictures to share but if you browse the food I listed you will see what the food looks like and trust me they are nice.
I see some poeple selling Ukpa in yoruba towns, does it taste different from the ones in the East? I have never tried it before, frankly I don't try a lot of new foods, I am the kind of person who likes to stick with what I know
This is one area I have been suffering greatly from. Due to a slight relocation due to work, I have stayed out of my favorite dishes which happen to be my local dish. This is one reason I dearly miss home. The ones I see are not well prepared and also quite expensive.
I don't miss anything, I cook what I miss, haha!
Jokes apart, Indian food is my favorite cuisine, South Indian to be precise. Without fail, every week, I need to have South Indian food. Where I stay (North India), you don't get that authentic south Indian taste although south indian dishes are readily available. There are some proper south indian restaurants but they also modify their taste a bit to suit the north indian buds.
Neverthelss, I use you tube to replicate some of my favourite south indian recipes like Uttapam, Idli, Curd Rice and Coconut chutney. It works well for me.
Wow that's nice seeing you enjoyed you country food, I know everybody does but I will also love to taste other countries food and see how they taste cos I know is a total different thing from my homeland cooking.

The good thing about not liking a lot of food is that you don't get to miss any. I rarely miss any food, whatever I manage to eat is always within reach. Although there was this one time I travelled to the northern part of my country and I couldn't get the food I would normally eat.

This is basically what I was eating in Chennai. My kids couldn't stand the curry, but I liked it.
There is an interesting Chinese restaurant near the embassy in Dehli. I enjoyed the smoked soup there. I've never seen anything like it.

I also don't think the price is going to go up in the near future. I have seen such pushes but these are limited, they don't go beyond a certain level and multiple pushes I've never really seen. Given it's a historical trend, the same will follow. Don't expect the price to rise too much.
The lockdown in Nigeria is lifted and businesses have open so 80% activities in Nigeria have resumed and people are free moving about.
People in this part of the world don't take Corona seriously, we are basically living like the virus never happened. People are rarely with their nose masks, no respect for social distancing, everything is like Covid doesn't exist
That’s bad. Although at one point in time, it gets the same here in India and when the situation goes out of control, people panic and start blaming the government. Although I don’t support the government but if we as citizens follow the social distancing rules then this panic won’t be created at the first place.
Indeed if the citizens follow the social distancing rules then there won't be so much panic. They have announced in the news recently that a new wave might hit the country, I am just hoping for the best at this moment because Nigerians are the worst at following rules and guidelines.
Same here, we are also predicting a 3rd wave in India. Rather than trying to take steps to avoid it, people are trying to enjoy until it comes. They don’t realise they are the ones Calling it.

The issue Nigerian have is we play around with such things happening in our country. People gets news update of government putting safety measures at work and for people to go out using there nose masks and sanitize regularly, but we Nigerians do what's in our mind and neglect the government policies.

Well I don't know if you noticed on Monday and also followed the market chart, there was a little bullish trend in Hive chart which increased the price but it have reduced to a certain level now.
I totally believe hive will rise a little again by Monday to a certain percentage judging by the little I can read on the market chart.
Hopefully I'm positive on that I'm seeing a possible turn in the market but the candle have not shown a positive entry for confirmation.

It both actually. A lot of buyers means the price would go high due to increased demand. Lot of sellers mean price would go low due to decreased demand.
I was about to say the same thing,there is no specific person that determines the price,all traders have the role to play to determine the price of POB on the market..
All buyers want to buy at a low price. All sellers want to sell at a high price. Both buyers and sellers are needed to negotiate a price good for everyone at any given moment.
Is not all about negotiation between the buyers and the sellers to determine a convenient price for them to sale or buy.
Price is determined by the factor of demand and supply ie buyers and sellers and other factors relating to government policies and whales movement in the coin.

I believe the buyer should determine at what price they want to buy and the sellers will agree to sell to the buyer at that price or not,so i think they both determine the price...
Both actually. A lot of buyers means the price would go high due to increased demand. Lot of sellers mean price would go low due to decreased demand.
Well to your question the both work hand on hand to determine the price of POB price but if you check in some cases when Hive falls in the market some factors tend to add increase on POB price.

I really don't know why you're have such issues, just seeing your question here and I don't know if it have been resolved.
But If it's not resolved yet I suggest you check if there is maintainance going on in the platform or your account have a malfunction.
Logging off and on again resolves the issue. But it happens frequently.

It's a unique experience, at the same time that it sometimes causes a little fear, it also gives the good euphoria of several things we can experience.
The calm of the small city is good, but the rush of the big city is also very good. Big cities have more possibilities.

The fact is I moved from my hometown(state) to another state and I did that because of a reason which is the purpose of getting a better paying job that I will be doing And that kind of job is not what I can get as an offer in my town.

At the very least, indicate in the headline the languages used in the post.
No matter what language is used, use headlines that capture interest. An awesome post with an average headline is a post that won't get viewed.

it is advisable that when a post is written in a language that is not English, it is better for the author to also translate the post in English, since English is understood by a good percentage of people.
You can start it by translating it to english on their behalf,you can use google translator to help them incase you do not unserstand the language..
I know such posts will be hard to draw attention of those who cannot read the body of the post while the topic will be saying a meaningful thing.
However we can help by using Google translator to translate to English for better understanding and drop your comments.

The reason why i asked the question is because i do see some posts which talks about POB getting rewarded frequently even if the content is just a three line sentence,and i see some great educating,informative posts which do not get good rewards..
I do believe any niche can get good rewards if your content is interesting or informative,though i noticed that many contents on the platform tend to be towards a particular niche
I don't think it's related to a particular niche. It's about the quality of the post. If you check the trending page, you see basically different kind of posts occupying such section.
However sometimes it's about your relationship with people over here. As people tend to curate authors they are familiar with.

Who all here are still working from home due to Covid restrictions?
I am really tired of working from home and feel like resuming back from office. ALthough my husband says I should not feel so becuase Covid has made us realize that we can do our work from anywhere and being together in office doesn't really matter as long as you are productive and willing to work.
But I don't agree with him. I think going to office helps to keep up with a routine. When working from home, there are no timings and the routine goes off.
What's your take on this?
Working from home allowed me to be closer to my family. My daughters spend more time around me now. The only sad thing is that there are not so many leisure places to walk around. I like to visit many places that are closed due to the pandemic, and many have even closed their doors.
I have had to go to the office to work for a while now and I can say I really miss working from home. The office has this kind of vibe that just makes me want to go home, plus it was more interesting working from home. You don't have to do your work based on anyone's timing, you can get things done at your convenience. Also I don't have to pretend like I'm immersed in work every time my boss walks by.
Last line, haha.. that’s what I agree to for sure. But are you productive enough while working from home? For me, sometimes the baby cries, other times someone is hungry so I need to cook. I don’t feel the pressure so that I see as a problem.
Oh the good thing about my own is that I don't have a baby to cater to and mostly my parents don't disturb me when they know I am working. So, I am quite productive at home, I do see how the cases might be different if I have a baby to care for.
Awwwn i know that feeling,i was also experiencing the same thing until last month when the lockdown ended in my city..
Oh is it? Then I might be wrong. Let me learn to be more productive while working from home itself.

That was the idea behing promoting POB TALK, to get the engagement going.
Now the engagement needs to translate to the other posts at PoB.
Bear markets for crypto have been known to affect activities across the board,
although I still don't undersand why blog and social would suffer.

Yeah Happened to stumbled on interpretation post. Really nice seeing seeing the numbers POB talk has on the POB community is on the increase. I believe we could surpass that numbers as people get to join us here.
More engagements is needed to keep this space alive just like every social media platform. Irrespective of the current POB prices we vontin6 firing has we are yet to see the best of what POB can be.
The POBtalk i believe is a good idea to make engagements on the platform to increase which is a very good thing,engagements also makes the platform to be a great place to leqrn from each other..

Asking a favor will automatically put the person asking the favor at a lower level
than the person giving the favor... but does not necessary make him or her weak.

I meant to say most people consider themselves weak or inept that they tend to depend on others. They develope a habit of asking favours from others. We must rely on ourselves the most. Sometimes it's not bad to to take favour and help but that should be not norm. One should try to be self independent and have confidence in oneself. 😊😜

Yeah, we are meant to find ourselves has we got all we need within us. Instead of asking for favors from others or depending on them, I rather endure that season. Not saying it's a necessarily a bad thing to ask has many misconstrue this. Been at the mercy of others in sure not a good thing.

You are right , we should not be so weak that we needs someone favour for ourself. we should learn to fight for ourself and find solutions to our problems on our own.
But in life we should always have someone close to our hearts to whom we can share our every problem to.
And when they will help us they won't call it a favour , they will call it relationship.
This is life and I want to believe that we all have different opinion to things and way of view things are different.
To me asking for people helps does not really means that soul asking for help is weak ,but depending on people to survive or progress in life is what I comes against.
Life itself has a way hof humbling people,so to me I believed that one way or the other we all need help from people,see take it or leave it many at the top today get there through help,but still you have to learn how to keep your pain and difficulties to yourself and comes out good which I don't argue with you on that.
We all grow by help and wisdom,so I don't see it a a bad idea and never will I looked down on any one who asked for my help,even to me it is a way of impacting in someone life

I don't really know much about @vempromundo.pob ,but am indeed a fan of a man that as created a prefect means of getting everyone engaged irrespective of your topic and he as given freedom to everyone to share thier thought by not restricting anyone on what to say and what not to say.
