It could have been glaucoma or cataracts ....

Glaucoma ranks among the most frequently cited reasons for using medical marijuana and is one of the indications for which the federal government once granted permission for compassionate marijuana use. Research findings from as early as the 1970s show that both marijuana and THC reduce intraocular pressure, a key contributor to glaucoma. The first such reports generated considerable interest because at the time conventional medications for glaucoma caused a variety of adverse side effects....

After cataracts, glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness worldwide, affecting more than 60 million people. Its most common form, primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), is a slowly progressive disorder that destroys cells in the eye's retina and degrades the optic nerve. These losses constrict the visual field, which eventually disappears, along with the patient's sight.

fascinating, although I guess this means that it can only prevent blindness and not cure it (for this condition anyway). Hopefully it will be more in use soon. Now there are ways of getting CBD here, but I don't think many use it for lack of knowledge or fear of taking a "drug"

Well - I suppose if you are in the process of going blind, and cannot see and someone comes along and rubs some Cannabis Oil on your eye lids and other parts of your head... and it relieves the pressue so that you can see again... maybe it feels like being cured of Blindness ? I wonder if they did any follow up and continued with regular treatments ? Although there were long lines to get in to see these mystical Nazarene Physicians. They appear to be a roving Medical Clinic by the time he was arrested and killed for practicing "Witchcraft" according to the Talmud.
