RE: The Role of a Father

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

Fathers are rare gems no matter how some of us may see them as bad. I used to hate the way my father scolded me back then when I was still a child but growing up I got to realize that he loved me so much and would never wanna see me hurt.

I can see it now with my older son. His teacher gave him a prize from school and he didn't eat it. Instead he brought it home to give to his little brother. When his little brother gets stuck on difficult school work, he helps him very patiently.

This act of his was so sweet. He would definitely make a good father someday too.

I'm sure it is a life long process. No one is born a good father and even if the children are grown and leave the nest the father role should continue. My father changed a lot from the Hulk to David Banner. I know I changed too and I see him today as gentle and thoughtful. He always surprises me. My own son has many good role models around him but he has to be strong inside and recognize who he really is and stand by it. I do hope he will make a great father.
