Stay Busy or Stay Free?

A lot of us crib about not having time, not being able to spend quality time with family members, not being able to give time to themselves either.

But is that really a problem?

Our lifestyles have advanced so much, we need luxury with respect to our clothes, accessories, technology, house and whatnot. We have taken the materialistic route for ourselves and for that, we need to struggle and work hard, give more time to our work and professional lives. If the luxury is not there, then also we crib, isn't it?

Corona gave us a lot of family and personal time, yet neither of us liked the lock down and wanted it to end ASAP.

Not having time is never the problem, according to me. The problem lies in not having quality time.

Corona gave us a lot of time to spend with our closed families but we didn't enjoy that because it wasn't bringing the desired quality. All we could do was within the boundaries of our houses and that too was a long time. If it was only about time, all of us would have loved it. But apparently, it is not.

Having a lot of free time is never good. It means you don't have much to do and you are not doing justice to yourself. May be you are too rich and you don't need to work, but then you are not adding any value to this planet.

It's all about spending quality time with your loved ones, no matter how short it is. I might have some 10 days to spend with my spouse, what if I end up fighting every day because I have nothing much to do. I would rather like to have just 10 hours in those 10 days with him, but those 10 hours have to be the best 10 hours of that week; I should get to talk to him, share my feelings and thoughts, have good food, talk and cuddle with him. That's all!

We must not crib about not having time because having a lot of time in hand is a bigger problem, trust me. So whatever time you have, just enjoy it to the fullest and don't worry about being busy, it's for the best.

Left to me I'd say Too much of everything is bad.

Talking of corona giving us a lot of opportunities to spend time with our loved ones - I think that kind of time is not actually what we need, like you said, we need to spend quality time with our families.

During corona period every body was scared of even coming close to their loved ones to avoid contracting or infecting them - whichever way the whole time was spent in fear.

The time we need is normal time, where you get to meet your loved ones and spend quality time with them playing games, eating and doing the things that makes you happy without having to fear anything or anybody.

Nice writeup @sugandhaseth
