This is a lovely question. I have lived with one pet or another all my life. I was born to see a dog at home and I used to feel the dog was older than me😅.(It obviously was). I loved the dog with all my heart and I was very attached to it. It's name was 'cous cous'. I later found out the cous cous is a name of a food. While, old dear loving cous cous died and that was very traumatic. Even my mom who used to act non chalantly towards the dog was affected. The dog was my play mate, a friend, a companion, it was all in one. It thought me to be smart in my doings, it taught me how to care, how to be loyal and how to stand my ground.
Few years after cous cous' death, I got a cat. Lucy. Lucy is a whole flex. It has really taught me how to give attention to the people around me. Whenever I'm on my phone, it walks up to my hands and pushes the phone away seeking undivided and special attention. It's always protective of me and it has helped me stay alert.
Pets are God sent and their really loving animals. They are here to teach us few important lessons. They come with a whole lot of changes. When you get a pet, your life would definitely not remain the same. You'd learn to be caring, loving, you'd learn to listen and pay attention. You'd learn to think about other things and people apart from yourself.
To those who don't have a pet, how bout you try getting one today, your life would never be the same if you're ready for the changes.

When Raag grows up, he will be able to relate with this comment of yours. I have a cat who is older than Raag and the whole purpose of having a pet for me is to have that feeling of compassion for all living beings not only in myself but in Raag as well. He already feels so connected to my cat, Noori.
This is so true, I have personally witnessed this for myself.
I'm glad you had the opportunity to witness it yourself too.
It's been really worthwhile, thank you @sugandhaseth for this wonderful episodes of #cotw it's been really worth it
Congratulations to the winners, keep on keeping on.
I had this smile on my face the moment I read your question, it reminds me of "Xena" my cute little Samoyed puppy.
Apart from the very fact that taking care of pets both mine and others (client) is my profession, I really love pets.
My Pet can do a lot of things for me ranging from keeping me company to helping me secure my home, alerting me of dangers and so on, but whatever the case may be pets are lovely animals especially dogs and cats.
Now a lot of people keep different kinds of pets for different purposes but I choose to keep my pet because she keeps me company.
I mean Xena notices every tiny bit of emotional change when it comes to me, she can dictate when I'm angry or in a sad mood - then she will be all over me trying to play with me to brighten me up - how lovely she is.
She has brought a lot of changes to my life in different ways - and being my playmate is one of them, I no longer feel lonely or sad when I'm at home, she is a friend and more!
Have you ever noticed that dogs can dictate bad people? try paying attention to them and you will understand, I have witnessed such!
Thanks

Yes this happens with me too. I have noticed whenever I am sad or upset, my cat would just come to me and sit next by me, make me pat and love her to keep me busy. Isn't that cute.
That's lovely dear, pets are just wonderful creatures
Thank you so much
Pets are love and just like human beings, they are love and they deserve to be loved, pet at times make us happy, they are source of love to us and they people around us, pet get angry when you are hurt and they get hurt when they see that you are not acting in the same way with them.
Pet want you to be with them all the times, they see their self in you and they also expect you to be with them in time's of trials.
To me I love pet and I always want to be with them.

Same here. I love my pet, but my problem is that I love only my pet. In general I am too scared of animals.
Haha! This is funny. The only animals I'm scared of are those ones I know are wild to be bred at home. My sister is same too. I mean she never wants any animal close to her. Lol
@teknon is true shaa, I easily get scared if allow wild animal close to me, especially dog, I felt it will bit me
Lol. I love dogs, and they aren't wild you know. They are loving just get a bit friendly and you'll see.
Really?
That was what my friend told me, but I was laughing when he said it, in my family we do not authorized dog staying or living with us
Oh! I see lol. It's ok
Some animals are wild, that is why it is advisable that we careful when dealing with them, not only you, I at times are scared when dealing with them
Thanks @sugandhaseth . It's always a pleasure. Congratulations to everyone.
Thank you @sugandhaseth

For instance, coming by back from office, you see them being the first one to welcome you and Make you feel relax and at home.
Pet make us Feel the Sense if belongings.
The also make life memorable.

I agree they take out the loneliness from your life, you always have something to look forward to when you come home.
Yeah, you are right, that's always the feelings.
Pets to me are the most adorable things so far after kids. I once had a white fluffy dog I named her cutie because she was so cute and super adorable.
She was more like a best friend to me, my play mate and everything I needed. Whenever I was pissed, I could ignore every other person but wouldn't ignore cutie as she meant a lot. I hated it when she looked sad, lonely and hungry.
Whenever I am cold we cuddled at night and I'd be warm as her she was so hairy and warm but until she was stolen. I really cried because cutie meant a lot to me and since then I've not really got to adopt another pet to call my own.
Though I love holding other people's pet when I see them. They are just adorable creatures and deserve to be loved too.
For changes, my pet cutie gave me comfort and lots more. She's never let anyone take whatever belong to me in my absence and I think all good dogs are loyal as they help protect the need of their owners.

I agree, I feel the same. I am scared of losing my pet, I know she won't be there with me for a very long time. And it's tough to live without them once you get habitual.
Yeah! That's absolutely true. Thanks for your response
I didn't know about this. Great initiative.
