Adopting The Alternate Ways of Account Management, Proof Of Brain Branding And Introducing A Basic Brand Style Guide

Seperate Account for Proof of Brain And Introducing a Short Brand Style Guide.png

I missed the deadline of pob words of the last two weeks.

Sometimes life happens, and you have to give in. And sometimes you need to prioritise something else. So past two weeks flew away.

I am not happy about it. I want to write more and as often as possible. But..

Never Mind.

I was trying to avoid making a separate account, but not having one is interfering with my freedom and flexibility.

Since I also post about the community affairs and I am responsible for curating under the POBleus, which I am not able to keep up with lately.

So at last I decided to make a separate account @shubhwaj.pob dedicated to proof of brain community. And will delegate all my POB stake to it.

I am planning to primarily use it for making posts related to the community affairs and I will reblog all the content that I will post in proof of brain.

I want it to serve as my content feed constituting whatever I will share in the community.

Do you need a separate account?

I am not sure, many people have multiple accounts dedicated to specific communities. I think if you are involved in posting about community's management and operations, that is to say the concrete guides and polices and not mere opinions. Or if you own a significant stake of a token and are involved in some specific curation, you should get a separate account.

That's just my take. But there are people who use a dedicated account to publish all the posts in the particular community it is meant for. But to each their own way of doing things.

To make it more resourceful, I will only be joining Proof of brain community and following the key accounts that post in the community with this new account.

Adopting The Proof of Brain's Brand Identity

Until now I have been using my own brand identity to create post thumbnails and author bio's. Except for a couple of posts.

But since I am committed to some particular communities here, I renounce my branding and adopt the colors of proof of brain for all my future posts that I will publish in this community.

This is an attempt to extend my full support to the communities I believe in.

The Dilemma

I am not sure what exactly the brand identity of Proof of Brain constitutes.

It was all pink and white before the blue brain i.e our new frontend proofofbrain.blog came into existence.

I don't think we have any standard brand style guide yet. And I don't know if it is final and if we are going to change from pink to blue brain.

Anyway, I am sticking with pink for now. And I have created a basic brand style guide. It is open for public use. You can use it for your creations if you like.

Basic Brand Style Guide For Proof of Brain

Before I present the the basic brand style I have come up with. I want to press upon the importance of having standardized brand guidelines -

  • Brand guidelines sets you apart and distinguish your business from the crowd.
  • It helps in creating an identity associated with particular styles making it easy to identify and remember a particular brand.
  • It helps you to add symmetry and personalization to a brand
  • It helps in developing credibility and trust among all the stakeholders
  • It improves the overall brand value and reputation
  • etc

The basic set of colors and fonts I will be using are provided below.

#ffffff.png

If you have any clarity about the font pairs or precise color codes of Proof of Brain's brand identity (if there is any that I am not aware of), please let me know in the comments.

And also I would be glad if the community wants to adopt them. I can come up with a more refined and comprehensive style guide, but like I said I am not sure what are our branding priorities and who decides them.

All kinds of feedback and views are welcomed.

Hello, @shubhwaj.pob

This is @fionasfavourites from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member - Keeping Up With the Buzz – My Introduction to the Hive Community.

Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out – Hive Communities.

Also since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.

Also, as this the hive can be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide is a growing repository of useful – easy to understand – posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.

For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your intro post. Also, you are welcome to tag me (@fionasfavourites) and please mention @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!

Welcome again dear, This is really a nice idea, actually I was thinking of same from a long time, because so far POB gave me everything and will be committed to POB for long run, so this is a good idea to dedicate a account purely to POB community, Keep it up.
