Eventually, there will be a team of moderators that handle the muting. The admin wants to be notified of it, but doesn't necessarily want to be involved.
so the article will be mutes instead of the author, in this case only the admin can mute, what if other actions that is against the rule of the community occur?
The moderation team will have the ability to mute, but not the ability to mute blindly. There needs to be a justification and confirmation for it. Mutes can last indefinitely, but that's not the intent of VYB initially.
- Article gets muted first, author is warned
- Additional issues would get the author temporarily muted (about a week or less)
- Repeated offenses would get the author muted longer.
do i have to report the author to the core team?
It would help and is encouraged. Moderation is always easier when the community supports and checks for suspect articles.
how do the core team handle this when we have more community members?
Shift work. Moderators would work in periods of time and stagger their presence during the week. I'd ask the moderators to approve a working schedule and provide them compensation in the form of delegated POB. There are other methods I will seek to use to raise efficiency, but I can't discuss those.
