RE: The One Thing I Regret The Most

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

What wasn't so perfect though, was my own mindset.

IF you took it more serious sooner it might have worked or you might have burnt out and or just rage quit depending on your mindset. I always say I am a slow learner, it takes me far longer, seemingly, than others to truly understand the value and concepts behind things. I am also a huge procrastinator and accomplish very little until it feels perfect. The problem with perfect is you will never start anything then.

Understanding or just clicking with something though is very important and when it did click for you, you did something about it and started joining in with the drive you get from having passed through that barrier of understanding. If it does not flip that switch that makes you go " Ah, now I kinda get it." Then I think it is like banging your head against a wall, and you may have ended up just resenting the platform or whatever it is you are attempting purely out of frustration.

Although it may be the procrastinator in me but I firmly believe that I should be patient and yes I do need to grind at it but very little is going to be accomplished by bashing your head against a wall because of having Fomo'ed into something you don't click with.

Maybe not the perfect time and sometimes late, but better late and ready than early with your dick in your hand or you put it better

Now I have learned something. There is no time for regrets and thinking about where I could have been.

I think I can truly associate with what you are saying here. I also prefer to rather take my time and get to fully understand something (and feel comfortable with it), before I commit to it fully.

And if I feel pressured by anyone, I tend to get irritated and rather leave.

So yes, I definitely agree. It might have taken me a while to get there and yes, it would have been nice if I started earlier. But I feel comfortable with where I am, with what I do, and with how I do it now.

Rushing it could have just ended up in disaster as you rightfully say.

Thank you for your thoughtful input and for leaving your comment. I really do appreciate it!
