I remember the poem as a child
"sticks and stones may break your bones but names will never hurt me"
I guess this poem is part of society's way to teach resilience but in reality its all backwards, bones will heal, but sometimes the damage from names never heals.
This is one deep shit. Makes me remember a song by Juice Wrld titled "Sticks and Stones"
Words tend to stick longer, they're like scars, but worst because unlike scars, we may have them on our skin, which could easily be covered. But words sticking to one's head, takes almost nothing to cover nor erase, especially harsh ones.
