Five fascinating facts about Testicles:

Testicles are one of the mysterious parts of the male human body, maybe because it is located outside of our body and we can observe every single change in them. I have noticed not only men but there is a large number of women also, who are very curious to know more about testicles. If you are male, especially if you have played cricket, you must be aware of the fact that how painful it gets when a ball hits a ball, even if you never played cricket still there is a high probability that your balls at least once have hurt very badly. Well, we all have some stories linked to this pain but we can discuss it some other day. Today, I will be telling you some amazing facts about your ball with their reason.

1: OUR LEFT TESTICLE HANGS LOWER THAN THE RIGHT ONE:
Even female breasts are of unequal sizes, there are certain theories given by scientists about why the left testicle is lower. Out of which, most popular is that it is due to temperature regulation, both hang at different levels so that they don’t rub and crush against each other, which can overheat them, ultimately reducing sperm production, as sperms are temperature sensitive. There are many other theories regarding it but you don’t need to go into detail about it as long as you are performing well.

2: WHY OUR TESTICLES HANGS OUTSIDE THE BODY:
Testicles are responsible for the production of the sperm and male sex hormone (Testosterone). Sperms are temperature sensitive and they can’t be produced at our normal body temperature (37) and ideally produce at 34 degrees Celsius. This is the main reason why our balls hang outside of our body so that optimum temperature can be provided for normal functioning.

3: WHY OUR BALLS HANG MUCH LOWER IN SUMMER THAN WINTER:
In summer due to high temperature, our testis tries to chill them up by staying at a much distance from body, that’s why they hang much lower in summers, and it's more likely for us to sit on our testis because of this coping effect. On the other hand, in winters we don’t need such coping mechanism, as temperature is in the favor of testicles.
4: WHY TESTICLES HURT LIKE HELL WHEN THEY HURT:
It is a very sensitive part of our body and is provided with a lot of nerves and vessels. They are analogous to ovaries in females but unlike ovaries, they are way more vulnerable to injuries, to protect them from a massive injury nature has given us high sensitivity towards this part so that we can take care of it. Even we have cremasteric reflex which protects us from injury by pulling testes towards the inguinal canal or simply pulling it higher.

5: CASTRATION (TESTICLES REMOVAL OR KILLING) OF THE SINGERS:
In earlier times, castration was performed in male classical singers before they reach puberty. Such types of boys are called castrato and castration was performed so that they can maintain their high pitch even after puberty. The voice is linked to testicles in a way that Testosterone which is a make sex hormone is responsible for male voice deepening and in lowering their pitch. When castration either physical or chemical is done, testis no longer stays functional and hence a male is no longer a male and don’t produce testosterone and voice do not matures.
