It looks as if they are doing better than we are. But at what price? What did it cost them to be where they are compared to where we are?

Even if they are absolutely ahead of us in everything, we only see what they present to us (like Web 2.0 social media and D.Buzz here). Do they have a big house and a few cars? Perhaps they're in debt up to their eyeballs. Do they work at what looks like a dream job? Perhaps it's not a satisfying as they expected the job to be.

We may be living a boring life or a less exciting life and not have much to show people, but we may be free of debts and doing something we enjoy doing while others are paying a high price to live the high life.

In the end, it doesn't matter what others ar doing with their lives. We shouldn't try to "keep up with the Joneses) because that's a losing proposition for us. We're supposed t live our lives, not theirs.
